Are all Magicka classes considered mages?

AnomanderisPurake
Are all MagDKs Pyromancers, MagBlades Mage-Assassins, MagPlars Healers?

If so, then are MagSorcs simply Lightning-mages or "Storm-Callers"?

Consider different game skills (magicka based) as spells of the different schools of magic, like destruction for sorc and DK, restoration for templars, mysticism and conjuration for some sorc skills...

Any character that uses any type of magic can be classified as a mage, technically. More specifically, magic in TES has never really been relegated to one class, or even one role - the whole "having a specific class" thing is really more a jumping off point than anything. If you are a paladin, you might have more melee skills with a few healing abilities. If you are a shadowy assassin mage, you would invest more into mage and rogue classes and abilities, maybe even become a vampire. The classes in ESO follow this same trend, so you can pick Nightblade, but then play the class how you want to more specifically fit whatever role you want. They might be well adapted to being blood mages, but that doesn't mean you cannot be a noble knight with a heart of gold that's just really good at sneaking.

    They can be

My Dunmer magDK looks like a mage and can conjure up all sorts of fire magic. He is a pyro mage. It's not like a character has to be part of some mage order to be a mage.

For templar for example, stamplar is generally like a Paladin while magplar is generally like a cleric\healer. But even there is prob other things one could roleplay as in this class.

Look at early tes games for mage classification. While classes arent really a part of tes, combinations of skills do tend to point out what you do. More akin to professions in our world. Like engineer or doctor
