The only gripe i have (not hugely interested in most crown store stuff but i want a new guar mount) is that i really thought that after seeing the guar pet it'd be the same as the mount. I think the pet design looks awesome. Maybe there's a chance that in the future they'll release a guar that looks similar in mount form or something.

I don't dislike the look of the mount, i just prefer the look of the pet.

They were data mined in an earlier patch.

Then the folk like me, who gave time to work and become Emperor will feel it was a waste of time if everybody can run around wearing a lazy-man's version of the Regalia skin. Thus cheapening the reward for days of PvP grind of fighting and repairing walls/doors, and blowing gold/AP on siege gear

On the plus side, all the extra AP to get there was spent on Monster Helm's..

But they aren't releasing it.
That is just a picture of Molag Kena for a set of cherry-picked weapon models and the undaunted helm and shoulder becoming an outfit style.
We still would have to pvp for the emperor costume, or continue to ignore pvp because it's stupidly annoying and difficult to get emperor for that as they also add better costumes to the crown store.

The way the legs bend isn't correct either, but this is just artistic license taken to make it the easiest way to fit in the world for them and differentiate it from the other cat mounts.

This game is mostly PVE so they have to support that more with all the people "voting with their wallet" on PVE. Also, they're going to encourage using your wallet to bypass every grind for cosmetics at some point with either a better item or a similar item, or the same item when they run out of ideas.

I've also heard most people "cheated" by keep-flipping or buying their way to Emperor or some other non-pvp or exploit way. So this would not sadden me at all to see that "accomplishment" cheapened.

Well some people actually do work for it, I work away and am not there for a full week (I don't fly Mon-Fri). I was on holidays and was actually here for a full normal week. After averaging 5-6Hrs a sleep for 5 days, spending time repping walls during downtime (Including doing local quests). Then killing delve bosses for the extra AP bonus, then constantly running from keep to keep to keep to keep, I was behind the number one player by 400K, by the time I was finished I had around 1.7Mil AP and was 500k ahead of the next closest person.

Yes indeed there are elements of factions that swap/change sides to become Emperor, and there have been numerous times finding two opposing factions working together during keep battles to wipe the third faction attacking they keep. Pretty obvious if neither of those sides are attacking each other. Look a bit deeper and they are in fact the same guild/s. They know who they are, and even players on the same faction who are not in "the guild" are being slagged in their zone chat for attacking opposing players at (insert keep here).

Perhaps we should be rid of all titles awarded for all accomplishments?

It also sometimes means people are actually organised using discord, and talking to other groups within their faction to coordinate things. On the subject of friends some people are always constantly being crowned, because of guilds. I often wonder if the other guildies are getting sick of constantly crowning the same person?

For myself personally. Done it once, and once is enough. I'll help any of the people that helped me get the achievement if they've never had it, within the spirit of the game. Here bud you said you are going to have a go at being Emp, you helped others etc, here's a few hundred stone/wood/siege repair kits etc, now have at it and enjoy repping walls at 2am when no one is around, then get some rest before it's time to spend the day attacking keeps.
