What I see alot of now is snipe spam nbs. Way more than there used to be.

That's what happens when you move snipe to the first unlock slot. Everybody and their mother runs snipe at level 10.

Virtually ALL the top players in this forum who play Kyne are superb solo NB.
I'd like to give it a shot, but I'm simply not good enough.

It's honestly not so much that they are good solo NBs, it's that most players and/or characters in Kyne don't have the tools needed to deal with cloak, so it's a much, much more effective crutch.

Cloak is pretty damn balanced in vet PvP. Detect pots, haunting curse, mark, caltrops, etc. etc. abound. Characters in Kyne are less likely to have some of those abilities, and quite frankly players in Kyne are less likely to be able to predict movement and de-cloak with AOE.

If you really want to screw wannabe 1vX superstar NBs, have someone run fasallas. The minor defile debuff pulls people out of stealth for some incredibly stupid reason...and keeps working even if the wearer is dead (note: I haven't tested this in like 3 months so it might have been patched).

It really is pathetic how some vet players take advantage of the inexperience and poor gear of noob players in Kyne. They reroll NB after NB and sneak around, using exploits and broken mechanics to instantly kill the new people. The forums are full of comments from PvE people who absolutely hate and shun PvP in this game for reasons like this, and it’s probsbly one of the biggest obstacles to attracting new blood to Cyrodiil, which if it continues, will likely lead to the death of PvP in this game. If these vet players were true Vikings, they’d steel themselves and go play with the big boys in a vet server, and let the rest of us experienced players try to help mold the next generation of PvP addicts.

It was pretty cool. I've only started ESO and MMO in general in the last week and a half and that was a blast. I'm sure my DK tank build isn't that great but I'm trying.

Well, if you are looking for a DC Guild, the PUGz of Daggerfall always take new players under their wings

As a minor point, I don't think that many people in Kyne are actually exploiting, and most of the mechanics aren't really broken, they're just balanced in a different context (where opposing players have access to their full kit).

Yeah there aren’t many that do this, but everyone knows who they are, and they do actually use exploits. The “broken mechanics” part of my comments is my opinion, but it’s an opinion shared by many who play this game a lot. My feeling about coming back to Kyne is that we should be helping out the new players, not using them for easy AP.

That's what I think is a bit of a shame. I've run into some groups of players that are running 5 deep with their normal vet playgroup, but rolling around Kyne. I'll admit I feel a little bad for rerolling a stamNB in nonvet - it's definitely strong, but I'm pretty much always solo. I've just gotten a little tired of playing my vet main and wanted to try something else without shelling out the money to gear up a stamNB in vet. It's a lot cheaper to just make purple weapons every couple of levels.

Got a little idea for some of you NA heroes.... especially those who are a little dismissive.
To maybe get an appreciation of how things are in Aus, I reckon you should be a little experimental and create a toon on the EU server.

You will still be excellent players, but that Dizzying Swing or Puncturing Sweep doesn't seem to work as well? maybe the NB has run around you, done the damage and you've not been able to counter? That red circle you thought you'd dodge-rolled seems to have hit you after all? You'll still have all your skills and experience, but the very good EU players will eat you for breakfast due to you being half a second behind them.

Add to that you've none of your purple/gold armour and hardly any money to buy sets from guild stores. You make do with what green & blue you have and go into EU kyne with 450 ping - then run into EU equivalent to Adenoma with a fully kitted StamNB with top sets and purple armour... Scary thought!

Give it a go and have some fun! I did, and it's bloody hard work - got two toons there. Just a shame the EU ping is worse than the NA ping for me or I'd be there a bit more.

The very few times I've played the EU server it was completely dead. Like yea, we *** about balance here, but from what I remember I found about one DC on the whole map to fight ( I may or may not have a 'main' level 16 AD toon there) during what should be their primetime (9PM Paris time).

There's only 2 players I know are always exploiting, and it's getting a bit annoying. When the same people always end up 'accidentally' getting into keeps when you know it hasn't been sieged in hours, and you've seen them hooking up to the mage guards repeatedly...

I am guilty of this and honestly feel bad about it. I'm on like my 5th pretty standard magnb atm. I don't think I will roll another one like that again. I need to finish off my warden and my magsorc. Then I have a magplar and hybrid nb I'm working on next. I want to start playing toons and builds that are out of my comfort zone.

I used to have terrible slow internet when the game first dropped and had that exact same experience on PC NA Wabbajack. I was often dead before I knew what hit me, and just couldn’t seem to hit a lot of opposing players. Luckily I could fix it on my end with faster internet, but I understand that may not be an option for people in mythical lands on the underside of the earth. However, this doesn’t prevent you from taking your high ping to the other vet servers besides Vivec, or to non-vet BGs, where it’s less of an issue. You can continue to stack 5-10 times the numbers of your opponents in Kyne and face roll the map, or or can challenge yourselves and spread out. It’s up to you.

@vamp_emily DC were amazing yesterday I haven't had that much fun in Kyne for the longest time :)

The Ales battle was epic and Thank you again DC for making that Emp run so memorable.

Thank you also to EP and AD this campaign has been terrific.

A bit off topic, but does anybody else try to use skills with a similar purpose in the same skill slots for different characters? I tend to have a gap closer or ranged opener on 1, spammable DPS on 2, heal/cloak/damage shield/"oh *** I'm about to die" skill on 3, hard CC on 4, immobilize on 5, and buffs/debuffs/utility skills spread across the remaining slots at 1, 4, and 5.

All my vets are mag toons and I do try to keep some what similar spots. I have my skills keyed to the mouse though so I'm a bit of an oddball.
Offensive bar Scroll down is spammable, scroll up is cc, middle button is kinda flex, then I have two side buttons that are damage skills or soft cc. Like magblade it's cripple and mercy bow. On back bar those two side buttons are always shields and/or burst heal. I keep entropy, molten or w/e on scroll down and the middle and scroll up are normally utility skills like more heals sustain skills w/e I really need
