The only thing tyhat is going to increase numbers is allowing PvE only

For PvP probably the best solution is for ZoS to limit it to Cyrodill and work on actually allowing that zone to support AvAvA as it was envisioned, not as it currently is, lag and loading screens

& sorry the lone wolves can move to another game for their kicks (EvE comes to mind)

Why is it that when a suggestion is made to make IC PvP only, PvP-ers love the idea, but when someone suggest to make separate instance for PvE too (so a PvP only version AND a PvE only version), some PvP-ers start to object heavily? Why should PvE-ers have to just accept a PvP only IC, but can some PvP-ers not accept a PvE only instance? While both groups can be served by two separate instances. In my opinion that is a very fair compromise.

Another problem is the Tel Var rewards in general, they just aren't that great. People really only farm it for hakeijo to sell, or storage which is stupid expensive.

    It needs something more

It's too bad that the storyline /quests in IC are some of the best this game has (for those who enjoy pve). Getting ganked ruins the fun and immersion of the quest line. I applaud ZOS for being willing to 'try out' combining a pve and pvp zone, but, in the end, that experiment failed miserably and there really isn't much that can be done to fix it.

It's more frustrating than words can say to be in a situation of having to rush through a well developed pve storyline while simultaneously watching your back for gankers .... it sucks the fun out of the entire experience.

I hope they never ever again combine a pve and pvp zone.

Meh. I don’t think they should waste any resources on it.

It’s a nice change of pace when things are slow top side.

There sure are some scummy players that hang out there, with the sole purpose to cheese people.

Just yesterday, I got cheesed entering a door. Couldn’t break free, no powers.

Pathetic loser was sitting there the whole time, waiting for people to enter the door.

How would making it a free for all make it any better? I'm certain my fellow Reds already would turn on me without hesitation if they could, that's just how the Pact is. My only saving grace in PvP situations is I have the chance at getting backup.

Seriously if this game's PvP wasn't team based I'd never set foot in Cyrodiil.

Yeah, I saw that going on last night. For example, 2 EP would run over to any other EP that came into the area (in sneak) and then suddenly 2 AD would come out of nowhere and toss out AoE's till they popped'em out of stealth and then blow'em up. The other 2 EP would run off as the AD came up. It was obviously clear they were working together. I did not see, however, the AD doing that, but I have a feeling they were helping the EP blow up AD players that weren't running with them.

SO...were it a free for all your own faction players would turn on you in a second a lot of the time. Edited for typo.

To the OP.....thats a Big NO.

The one logical experience that should occur is this.

Imperial City should be a PvE zone that only allows PvP when the control changes from one faction to another to clear out opposing factions.
In this, that means there would be a portal in each major city to port into Imperial City when control is taken.

Control would be determined by Some events in Cyrodil and perhaps cycle 4 times a day or so.

    *Problem*
The Mega Server wouldn't allow this to work as there wouldn't be a way to allow all of us into CYordil even if its only those who want to PvP. So my other idea is along the same concept but that choosing a campaign locks the account to that faction for the duration of that campaign.

As such this determines when you can fight for Imperial City and locks you to that Faction within you Guild chat too.
I don't think any of that should carry over to the PvE Dungeons but it should apply to the zones we play in for PvE until that expires.

That leaves ZOS to address proper campaign rules and features and it makes sense as Cyordil isn't balanced AND PvP gameplay shouldn't be the same as PvE skills and effects.

PvE players HATE losing half their stones so they won't go there because there is nothing you can get with stones there that you can't get somewhere else.

Heck even some PvPers hate losing their stones. I know someone that loves Cyrodiil, is almost a Grand overlord but hates IC with a passion because of the stone loss.

Also, no on making it FFA. Limit group size sure but no on FFA. And yeah those mosh pit fights on Arboretum were a blast

I honestly don’t get why there can’t be a separate PvE version where we earn no telvar stones, but just to get to experience the zone and the questing - it wouldn’t impact PvP at all as many PvE focused players admit they aren’t any good at PvP so aren’t much of a match in any case, plus would reduce the lag as all the players there for PvE would be in the non PVP version.

Why dont people who want to experience the zone organize a good group and go there (as they do to make dungeons etc).
Keep the pvp there! Pvp is good! Give adrenaline to the gameplay! We dont even lose our gear like sandboxes, there is almost no punishment for being killed...

I don't get it, IC is nice how it is... Just separate the instance from cyrodill and add both a pve-telvar leaderboard and a pvp-ap leaderboard.
    Simple.

Remove the PvP and it would be full.

Would tend to agree. I'm sure there are PvP success stories, but once again, having a pve option for solo players would be nice.

Once again... just make a PvE version of Cyrodiil/IC. Then, PvP people can do whatever they want, and PvE players can do whatever they want.
