My test character, a level 3, ESO+, no cp noob took about 1000 rings to level to 50 on PTS. I wrote down the xp from different rings, required xp at each level and xp cutoffs at early levels here: https://blog.fizban.fi/2018/04/eso-summerset-jewelry-crafting-leveling/
Not really.
It's only slightly more than you need for clothing, for example (roughly 300 purple CP160 items).
All crafting professions have level-dependent xp caps. Start leveling with low level rings and save better rings later. You anyway get quickly through the low levels. 10% of total xp catapults you to level 25 but it keeps slowing down each level. But don't worry too much about the caps. Even green cp160 rings get their xp cut until somewhere at level 20.My test character, a level 3, ESO+, no cp noob took about 1000 rings to level to 50 on PTS. Very interesting, I never really got into inspiration caps. But in your artical you mention:
Max item xp: This is a level-dependent cap of xp from a single item. E.g. deconstructing a golden CP160 ring gives only 1117 xp at first level, but beyond level 28 it gives over 10000.
I am all about efficient leveling, especially if I can get the grind done faster.
So in this case it's wise, to save all CP160 purple+ quality jewelry until you hit level 28+.

That's alot more than the 333 purple items other testers indicate. Even when accounting for the fact you did not have the 20% boost from cp active.
Not really.

Getting 300 clothing items to decon is FAR easier than getting 300 Jewelry to decon though.

The tables should be ok, it's just the total xp was calculated wrong.
I made yesterday a quick fix to the blog. You should see a note, "Earlier version of this post had a bad error ..." with yellow background. The error was in XP needed from level 26 to 50. I rewrote the ring amount calculation this morning.I found an error in my google table which doubled the required xrafting xp.
