Microsoft unveils its clever new Xbox Adaptive Controller for gamers with disabilities

It's been asked about multiple times on the forums. I just saw this and am happy as, having researched haptic interfaces (and used a Novint Falcon) I know all too well patent trolls keep good solutions for people with disabilities from being affordable.

I hope this is a good solution for people who can't use the standard HID.

While it will help those with disabilities, like most things in life, the likely outcome is that fully functional people will use it to gain an advantage over someone whom has not invested in a device that can bypass finger limitations (like having to remove a finger from the joystick to hit X)

You can do that now with an elite.
