I almost exclusively play solo. I deconstruct almost everything for crafting mats and sell all ornate and other junk to merchants. I will also steal and fence items sometimes for gold. I am not in a guild and at the moment have no desire to join one. Currently I have around 450k gold.

With stolen items, I launder the crafting materials I get, use any recipes, and sell just about everything else.
As far as joining a trading guild, keep in mind that most, especially the ones in good locations, will charge a weekly fee, and you'll have to make enough to cover that. You can only have 30 listings at a time, and listing fees plus taxes take 8%, so you have to sell enough to cover that.
My advice until you reach CP 160 is to vendor or deconstruct everything you don't intend to use. By then, you'll start getting an idea of what pieces have value to others.

Thank you everyone. So you need to join a guild to do so then. So how does joining a guild store work? You just put in an item, ask for a price someone say yes and the trade is done automatically or do two people need to be present?

Been playing on and off since the beginning. I play this game as a TES game single player and don't know how to socialize. I keep reading people selling. I always thought it was selling to the NPC merchants. Now I am not so sure. So my question is, how do you sell?
I don't now nothing about the socializing aspect of the game. I am playing on Xbox One N/A server. I am also around level 30's so I am sure I don't really have nothing worth buying. I would like to learn something new so I am curious how would I go about selling now.
Also what do I sell to NPC merchants and what should I NOT sell to NPC merchants. I am basically selling them everything. Also when I steal things, I just sell everything except for recipes and weapon/armour buildable items. So what should I not be selling what I steal and launder instead? If I launder it, do I sell these to real people or keep them for myself?
I have been selling trophies and what not. I tried keeping them since they sound important, but I had no use for them and just taking up space. So I sell them now. Should I be keeping?
Also what should I keep and not sell. What should I sell and not keep?

I'm on xb na my gt is the same as my forum name add me as a friend if you really dont know what ur doing and I'll be more then happy to explain in more detail. I can also invite you to some guild traders that have great spots for fast sells.
Things to vendor (aka, sell to NPC merchants):
- white tier armor and weapons
- “cloudy” poisons
- dropped potions of the resource you use the least
- trophies (their acquisition is already saved so no need to hold onto them)
- extra glyphs
- all jewelry items you aren’t using
Things to sell to other players:
- crafting motifs (from dlc zone dailies, daily dungeon pledges, trial weeklies, and pickpocketing in Vvardenfell)
- blue+ furniture recipes
- raw crafting materials (wood, smithing, cloth)
- alchemy materials (Columbine, Namira’s Rot, and Cornflower sell highest)
Most important make sure you are having fun.
