I had 13. I usually delete 1 and create 1 out of the 13. It's always been like that for me. Now I have 12, but if I add the ones I deleted, I'd say around 16 or 17.

Not at all . Many of us PC players were offered account duplicates to ps4 and Xbox before console release . A lot of us bought them .

Do you do writs on all of them every day. You must have had fun on the anniversary . 324 boxs a day if u do all

I usually run only the two main crafting accounts, sometimes just one depending on what else i do. The writs take half hour per account.

Updated the leaderboard again with the new amounts, and decided I won't keep track past 10th place, else there's going to be endless names haha If I have anything wrong, let me know, I will update it for you!

Poll stands at 34% have more than 8 max level characters, and the rest is pretty equal across the other amounts from 1 max level up, averaging about 7%.

I have 8 max level now, that's all the characters I own, and I don't really plan on getting anymore in the foreseeable future.

Thankfully you don't have to grind out your vet ranks anymore.

I have currently 14 at level 50, also maximized as crafters, but only 6 of those are fully playable at the moment. Going the 6th time trough the same zones, quests, skyshards, books is soul crushing. I honestly don't think I can handle more of that any time soon, so I will space that activity 4-6 months apart for 4 other characters as I don't intend making more than 10 playable - 1 magicka and 1 stamina of every class - so there's clearly a point where I will simply stop doing it. I will level my 15th and train crafting and that's the end point on that. I hope they don't introduce a new class every 2 years since the effort of keeping up is extremely draining, even for a player who dedicates a lot of his time to the game.

Six at Champ level, Breton Magsorc main who is also my crafter and is the very first character I created when the game released.

Got a Mag Templer, she's my mains sister, also a Mag Warden and she's my mains niece.

Got a cutesy Khajit Stamblade who's somewhat naughty, a saucy looking Redguard Stampler and a tanky Orc Stampler.

Just bringing up a demonic looking Argonian Sorc who's a bit of a nutter, seems to be really tough and hard to kill, can't quite work out why, maybe it's his racial passives, he even survives when I'm drunk

Have deleted half a dozen characters that I didn't really gel with once they were champ level.

2. Magsorc for pve and stam nb for pvp

In my case leveling up is worth it even on inactive characters since with the skills from leveling (64), tutorial (1 or 2), Maelstrom arena completion (1) and the sky shards, group event and the 1st main quest from the 1st alliance area (5-6) I can hit the 72 needed to fill 2 bars with fully morphed skills, and keep the other 48 for filling the crafting passives that allow me to harvest maximum level materials and do the daily writs at maximum tier for the 6 trades currently in game. I won't be training jewelry crafting for a while after the patch drops on such characters at least, since it doesn't sound sustainable to do the writs, at least not at maximum tier; and in case it turns it to be worth while in the long run, it will still take a lot of time for the knowledge to trickle down to them in the form of trash jewels to deconstruct.

Leveling is pretty straight forward process, and I have it standardized for maximum efficiency. I do 10-50 in normal Maelstrom arena during the double XP events, with 4-6 levels gained per ~40 minutes run since I use purple training gear sets (they are passed on to the next character at the end) every 10 levels and XP scrolls - the latter I've mostly gotten directly or indirectly (purchased with gems) from the free crown crates I get from time to time as a subscriber. I do this process over a few days, and don't spec into passives at all, just try to unlock as many skills as possible, do the class skill lines, 2 weapon skill lines, and at least an armor skill line (medium or light, depending on character) to 50 right as I hit 50, have every skill trained, morphed, and to rank IV. Post 50 I equip some of my unused dropped sets I've been saving and do a dolmen circuit in order to level 1-2 more weapon skills, and fully unlock fighters guild for stamina characters. At the end I do a full skill reset, then spec into crafting as I train it. I usually have enchanting already trained to 50, so I do Alchemy and Provisioning fast, getting the relevant achievements for all 3 along the way so I get more master writs in the long run. Then I feed trash gear trough the bank to those characters over a few weeks and slowly level the gear crafting skills to 50 as well, speccing into them as I go. In about 10 days I have a character fully capable of doing the ordinary writs. I log it every day just for that purpose and also inventory management, since some of those characters also act as long term storage for certain gear sets I have deemed relevant, but I don't use currently on my active character; the vast majority is BoP gear: monster sets, trial & dungeon sets, with a small minority of BoE gear from PvP or overland - I don't keep the latter in anything but rare drops, mainly weapons, since I can always re-purchase it if needed. Getting the writs done on 14 characters takes slightly more than an hour since the process is helped by addons and I usually do it at the start of the day as warmup; I'm usually done right when I'm scheduled to enter the trial with guild mates or do pledges with them, or, rarer, to do BGs.

From the "crafter" state it's pretty easy to evolve to a "combat ready" state quickly since I only spec passives and skills as I go, those being fully unlocked at that point. Playing without any passives for a while until I get the relevant skill points - about a dozen zones worth of them - is not as bad as it sounds. The whole process takes me about 2 weeks, since my target is to fully clear a zone per day, after I've done my other tasks: shards (including delves), important quests, world bosses and the 3-4 quests that give skill points. For example upon activating my Magicka DK who has only been a crafter for more than 6 months since I leveled her in late October last year, I have been able to fully clear all zones with no trouble, including world bosses done mostly solo or with the assistance of a much weaker player for add kiting. The process was rather tedious in the 3-4 zones, since DPS was capped at around ~10K due to running a recovery build to compensate for the missing passives. With everything relevant now specced and the gear fully upgraded I can now defeat them with no assistance and die maybe once per zone so the progress is clearly visible. For example I've just started Dominion after clearing Pact and Covenant, and the 1st zone boss from Auridon, the 3 necromancers on Soulfire plateau melted in just under 30s; one poor lowbie waiting there barely had time to score a hit for the achievement at the end since he was probably AFK when I came there.
