The Sun Sets for Wardens in Summerset

I will certainly give the Necro/Elegance/Valkyn Skoria setup a thorough test run once the changes hit live, only so much you can tell about actual performance in the PTS environment.

My expectations aren't exactly stellar though, someone posted about 42k parses of MagDens on the PTS, while conveniently ignoring that MagNb and MagDk parse substantially higher than on live as well. So by that account nothing much seems to have changed, but see above.

Why the heck do you guys need every class to be competitive?- Can there not be one class, which is focusing on roleplay rather than pvp and competitiveness and is just there for the purpose of being a nature related class - much like the bosmer ability was in TES games, to command animals - this one class does not have to be competitive, don't ruin it by requesting balance for it as well - you guys ruin any diversity in the game by requesting balance already, just leave the warden alone.

Wardens are fine. They are arguably one of the strongest classes in PVP, their DPS on the PTS is quite impressive if anyone bothered to look, and they are certainly better than average for for tanking and healing.

And with the change to two handed set weapons, wardens are only going to get stronger in PVP.

Nope - ZOS took away the only Warden class CC. Mag Warden will need to use Master Destro for Destructive Touch

I guess you might have meant Stam Warden, which is the only truly strong (and honestly OP) Warden spec? Yup, they’ll get buffed ....

    - Flame/Shock Staff with Clench/Reach
    - Vampirism Drain
    - Or the new Psijic skill

Well yes, that’s literally every option even available.

Drain is a horrible CC, though it has its uses vs tanks in zerg v zerg fights.

Time Stop (well, the instant cast morph) will be the **only** way to CC on a Ice Staff Warden build :(

Flame/Shock Destructive Touch is the only decent option now unfortunately.

Frost Clench on a Master’s Staff w/ Warden is plenty irritating and powerful. Just cause it’s not a hard cc, immobilizing your opponent and making them stop bouncing/ burn stamina shouldn’t be overlooked. It also allows you leisurely time to line up shalks or other snares.

If you only use the Warden for flower-picking and writs, then none of what others are asking for will even affect you. All classes should be competitive for endgame content. Telling others to leave a poorly developed class in a sorry state instead of asking to have it fixed because it could interfere with your noncombat-oriented gameplay is beyond ridiculous.

Very dramatic intro there. I have seen this before - New class gets introduced, the incentive is the performance we saw and then it gets adjusted to "normal" instead of "godlike".
You reveal yourself best in how you play.

    Kelces - Argonian Templar
Farel Donvu - Dark Elf Sorcerer
Navam Llervu - Dark Elf Dragonknight
    Aniseth - Wood Elf Warden
    Therediel - Wood Elf Templar
    Nilonwy - Wood Elf Nightblade
    Jurupari - Argonian Warden
    Kú-Chulainn - Argonian Sorcerer
    PC - EU
    For the Pact!

So ZOS leaves a class heavily unused In end game content so that players can RP in towns and maybe use them to do easy quests and pick flowers? That’s bad business. If ZOS leaves it completely alone then a lot of players won’t trust ZOS when they come out with another class. Classes should be in a healthy position in any game, it just makes sense.

So there you have it. Wardens will remain dead for another 3 months, likely longer. Feel free to re-roll to Sorc, DK, or NB.

I find this funny, as I haven't really gotten the performance in PvE out of my wardens I wanted, and was missing my Templars and wanting to give them a run next patch. So yeah, funny that they are not one of the go-to classes are your list (which I don't disagree with).

And by funny, I mean sad.
