Pass. I don't think TES is a good fit for film and vice versa. Also, cinema in general seem to be on the decline, or perhaps just aimed at a different demographic than the one I belong to.

I know that casting the film would be unrelated to the voice acting in the game, but wouldn't you just love to see Cleese with that pot on his head?...

Purely subjective of course but I'd say following are pretty good.

Mortal Kombat
First Lara Croft Movie
First Resident Evil Movie (I liked the second one as well, rest were pants)
I really liked the Warcraft Movie.

Look at what Peter Jackson did for LOTR franchise: It used to be an extremely obscure series that was catapulted into mainstream culture almost overnight (relatively speaking, because of how long the books have been around)

I've always thought the events of TES 3: Morrowind would make for an epic film. If done well. Alternatively they could even do a Netflix original series (South Park jokes aside they do have some good production value) on TES or Fallout. Just don't go campy, it needs some serious money for CGI and good acting

I think a movie would have to be based on the in-between times. Something from lore that is not actually in the games. The story of Tiber Septim would be my first choice. You could also do the fall of the Ayleids or the end of the first Era. It would need to be something that has a set outcome with no player involvement.

You might knock doom but the first person scene did get another movie to release that was all first person that actually succeeded.

A TES Movie?
I can see it now...
Camera shows a long line of people going down the street. A gentle zoom to someone at the end of the line. We follow the person as the line moves. They enter a theater, they get their popcorn. They go to sit down. They are told that seat is saved and to find a different seat. This process repeats for a good while. Eventually, they are allowed to sit down to watch the movie. The movie starts. Camera passes over the person's shoulder and zooms to show only the movie screen, prison bars slowly fade in. Camera zooms back out to a top down view of the theater and cuts to credits.

If they contracted Blur Studios to do the entire film, then I'd absolutely love it. I'd prefer it Animated over Live Action. Besides the people over at Blur are fantastic. First for the Anniversary Halo games and now the Elder Scrolls Online cinematics.

If they wanted to do a Live Action, I'd REALLY hope it was at least on the level of Lord of the Rings if not better.

I think it would be a bad idea. Some things aren't worth pursing. Comics, books and games all work. A film would be a needless vanity project that would require a massive budget with the amount of CGI that would required and would ultimately flop.

Sorry. in a perfect world it would work but too many issues IMO for it to become a reality.

I really enjoyed the WoW movie and Assassins creed movies, but i'm not a purist..

I watch movies for movies..

I think the main reason there is no ESO movies is all the critics would compare it too LoTR
