Like the title says, I'm tired of the same ol sites with the same ol builds. I think some of these guys are overwhelmed and just churn out generic builds to appease the masses. I wanto to "see" or hear what others are using and what works or doesn't for you. Yes, everyone is different and all, but just looking to see if some of you go all stam, half/half (like Alcast does) or full health. ANd the morphs as well. I am trying out having a frost staff on back bar cuz it sounded different from most tanks builds and handy, plus gives me some dps options when running around.
I would like a tank build that you can actually play with other than bringing out for dungeons only sort of thing. Don't want to be like Dom in Fast and Furious and have that Charger just sitting there...more like Mr. Walker and something you can use anywhere! Warden may not be the for class that, maybe NB is more my speed, dunno? Share your thoughts! Cheers! ;)

I have 4 different set-ups I have used, each has their own purpose:

    1. Stamden Damage Tank - all stam build built around burst damage and ultimate generation

Gear: Seventh Legion, Blood Spawn, Werewolf Hide

This is a PVP style build, but I found it great for tanking non-dlc vet pug dungeons. With a Sub. Assualt, Brawler, HA rotation with Dawnbreakers, you can burn through trash packs thanks to seventh legion. The build is also really solid for tanking bosses and the ult gen allows for decent warhorn uptime.

    2. Hybrid Support Tank - 50/50 tank built purely for group support and debuffing enemies

Gear: Torug's and Ebon with monster set of choice. Blood Spawn and Sentinel are great choices

This is the basic meta tank support build. It has been tested and it is solid for all content. Most run duel SnB with it, I prefer to run ice staff back bar. Arctic blast with elemental blockade makes for some nice CC for trash pulls and gives you a little damage. If you run both crushing and weakening enchants, blockade will proc your crushing front bar enchant.

    3. Magicka Heal Tank - Mostly magicka build with just enough stam to taunt and block when needed

Gear: Ebon, SPC, Sentinel, run ebon body with SPC SnB/jewelry and Master resto

I love this build for 4 man content . It allows you to basically run without a healer. With springs, vines, and trees, you are a pretty formidable healer, while still being able to tank pretty much anything.

    4. Stamina Heal Tank - My go to 4 man build because it's fun to play and is affective at what it does.

Gear: Seventh Legion body, powerful assault SnB jewelry with master 2H

This set-up works great for groups were the healer has SPC. With seventh legion and powerful assault procs, you can help melt trash and your seeds and vigor offer some pretty strong off-heals. as far as tanking bosses, this doesn't have the same level of support a full blown support tank does, but when you add your damage and healing capability, the healer can pretty much focus mostly on damage.

Dinosaur Chicken Nuggets - Argonian mNB Tank/Heals (PVP)
Strawberry Semifreddo - Dunmer mSorc DPS // Sunny D-Light - Breton mTemp Heals
Peanut Butter Sandwich - Orc sDK DPS // Kellogg's Frosted Flakes - Argonian mWard Tank/Heals (PVE)
    Cor-Leonis
    friendship - integrity - perseverance

There are threads in forum about various Warden tank combos. Just search.
    https://forums.elderscrollsonline.com/en/discussion/409498/warden-tank-build/p1

    My gear:
    2x Tremorscale + 5x Thunderbug‘s Carapace + 5x Warrior-Poet (but 4x on back bar)

I have One Hand and Shield on the front bar and Ice Staff on back bar. Once Summerset hits, it will count as two pieces.
My CP and stats are for stamina DD as I play that, too and I don't play trials at all (maybe one day only normal one).
With OHaS and Ice Staff I can almost 100% permablock if needed as when you run of one resource, another is regenered so you just switch.

There are so many possible skill combos... I currently use:
    1) Pierce Armor – Heroic Slash – Ice Fortress – Gripping Shards – Bull Netch // Enchanted Forest***
    2) Elemental Blockade – Shimmering Shield* – Green Lotus – Subterranean Assault* – Polar Wind** // Permafrost***

*flex spots: Deceptive Predator or Leeching Vines or Bone Surge - depends on content
**bad skill IMO until I get Vigor.
***Use Wild Guardian in overland content and easier dungeons. In hard veteran dungeons bear quickly dies so it's useless.

I can't crack 8,7k DPS as my gear is completely in heavy thx to RNG with Monster helm and shoulder... Anyway, with this build I smash overland content easily (your typical meta tank is useless in overland content as it can't kill anything). I'm killing zone bosses like never before. Another one last night:

I hope it helps. Just be creative and use ESO Build Editor to play around before you buy/farm/craft gear.

The cowardly Wood Elves are best noted for their unwillingness to engage in a face-to-face attack; a Bosmer will strike at you from every side except the front. You won't cross swords with a Bosmer, but you might catch an arrow in the throat. Be wary in forests and jungles, and watch your back.

Yea, found that awhile back, even commented on it, but that's mostly one persons build, and yours I think is there. From what I have been reading/seeing though Warden is more your support/help heal while tanking sort of class whereas NB has some damage attached to it? I tend to play along the lines of NB having been a Deathknight in WOW I am used to doing some damage while tanking. I prefer that because that way I can play the same toon for solo junk as well with few changes but Warden solo/open world feels very very slow. I could be way off though, thus this post. ;)

But my Warden is not slow in overland content at all :). I have enough both single and AoE damage so for example when I enter in Public Dungeon I can round up several groups of enemies and kill them relatively fast and they barely scratch me.

Also Wild Guardian push your DPS a lot as you can see.

    Another thing is gear.
    1) If I had at least one medium piece, I would crack 9k DPS.
    2) You can use Selene Monster set to beef up DPS or even better Stormfist. I will never use Stormfist for RP reasons...
    3) Or you can use Spawn of Mephala Monster set and Armor of Veiled Heritance instead of Warrior-Poet. Mephala and Elemental Blockade means Veiled Heritance constantly process. 10k+ DPS easily. I don't use that combo as I have +57 in stamina attributes and I want a bit health (to be at 30k) which is provided by Warrior-Poet (and I had some parts and other cheaply bought). Or use Hunding's Rage in heavy weight.

There are various possibilities to be effective hybrid tank/DD ;).

My bad, I should have added at the start that I am levelling a tank, so yea, all that sweet gear is a ways off sadly. But good to know, gives me hope for Warden after all!
Oh, another quick ??? Where do you put your stats? Mag, stam or health, or a mix. the big boys builds have them mixed so not sure what works really.
