Why there is no toilet in Tamriel?

Well, today I remember this; there is no wc in this game. Public or personal, houses or inns no toilet at all. What do you think?

You know, now that you mention that, I really don't remember seeing bathrooms in Skyrim. Like, not even outhouses. Maybe they use magic and teleport it...there's just mountains of poop and rivers of pee in a pocket of Oblivion somewhere.

That minght sense but still there are plenty of gaps. Maybe Argonians or Orcs do that but High Elves? At least they should use bathrooms in their houses. I think ZOS forgot to add this to the game.

In the vein that people somehow think jumping should cost stamina, we can go the realism route here too.

Characters will have the “major need” debuff applied if they didn’t visit a toilet in the last 4 hours, reducing damage, healing and blocking by 50%.

Crown Store exclusive toilet furnishings for your own home, extending the time to 8 hours. Crown crates have radiant apex toilets, extending the time to 24 hours.

On the world toilet day, all toilet furnishings are 30% cheaper. Wouldn’t that be awesome. ;)

Skyrim has some toilets in some bandit caves.
In eso they use portable chamber pots.

In my house I actually have plumbing. I used metal flag poles as pipes, dwemer gears for faucet/taps, a dwemer boiler as a water heater, the toilet consists of a wooden crate and bucket, with a dwemer gear as a flusher, another gear for a drain and a pipe that delivers the water for the flush. For the sink I used a wood elf stone bowl, supported by wooden posts, with a pipe and faucet. I also have a water tap in the kitchen and one in the stables area.

As I've never seen anyone urinating in ESO, unlike in Age of Conan, or defecating, I assume they have no need for such things. I dread to think of the additional possibilities for role-players if there were toilets, however.

I disagree. The debuff should be a 20 minute timer. Afterwards, your pants and lower part of the robes get colored in a non removable brownish color. The color overrides all costumes, polymorphs, outfits and armors.

Minor need does the same, but with pale yellow (we assume that all inhabitants of tamriel live healthy and drink enough)

There are actually some NPC's in Hew's Bane (females) who urinate against the wall like a man

Dont take a screenshot of them and post it here though because for some odd reason it's a bannable offence, don't ask me why oO

There are cities in ESO with people and sewers. But never have I found any toilets or anyone who needs them. Where the hell do people do their business?
Phrastus of Elinhir says, “Many of the urns and receptacles you see in Tamrielic houses are actually chamber pots. But of course you already knew that, so I assume your question is intended as a jest. If so, I must say I find it in questionable taste.”

There have to be, at least in some places--Wayrest is praised for its 'commodious modern sewers'-- but I guess they're just not visible for whatever reason. Also, if I remember right, M'aiq has a line about, er, relieving himself in an inapporipriate place, so Tamriel citizens definitely do their bussiness, it's just not very obvious
