Group finder suggestion

For the dlc dungeons and ‘old vet’ dungeons I think the vet dungeon finder should factor in how many runs you’ve made before you can solo queue, randomly or selectively, into them.

I just randomed into vet ICP with three others who were totally unfamiliar with the dungeon and I decided to give it a shot. Every single boss was a learning experience. Should I have left right away? Probably not. When our 44k hp tank spammed steel tornado on the opening mobs? Bit of a red flag, but hey, sometimes novelty creates its own value. After 3rd fail at overfiend? After finally defeating the flesh sculptor 1 hour in? I know everyone needs to learn sometime, but random pugs is not the place. After 2 hours in and three wipes at the abomination, I had had enough.

The random dungeon finder needs to have an experience/skill based check on who can get in to which dungeons. Not based on cp or level, but how many times you have played/beat that dungeon. Let noobs first learn vet dungeons with FG1, CoA1, CoH1, DS1... if they want to do progression runs through the longest/toughest dungeons, let em queue for those specific dungeons with experienced guildies to learn the ropes. Not blaming the noobs, the devs should incentivize weaker/newer players to walk before they run. Everyone would be happier.

My real problem is that some of my best experiences have been in these random dungeons.

People who say “don’t queue for vet dungeons” are actually proving the point... if the answer to a proposed problem in the game is to simply avoid it, then why the f is it in the game?

I don’t want to give up the serendipity of getting queued with similarly experienced/skilled players I’ve never met before. That does happen occasionally and is an exciting experience. But it should be happening more frequently than the opposite.

I don’t mind helping out newbies I meet in guild chat or while out adventuring. I just don’t want any part some random newbs growing pains in content that requires an 1 hour plus time commitment.
