I'm always crashing on Xbox One X (NA server)

Does anyone else have issue with their game constantly crashing? I thought before, it may have been to high traffic during the XP events, but it's actually happening more , than it was before during the event.

My game crashes at least once every hour-hour and a half. That's not an exaggeration either. Just yesterday, I fired up ESO after I woke up. Within the first hour, my game freezes, makes a very annoying and loud humming sound. It's extremely loud when using a headset (RIP my poor ear drums). Then the game crashes, and I am kicked back to my Xbox home screen.

I boot the game back up, and as I mentioned above, within about an hour to an hour and a half, like clockwork, my game freezes, followed by loud hum, than crashes. the people I play with (some in the same state as myself, some in another state) and they all experience repetitive crashing as well, whether we're all grouped, or not.

What's really annoying, is when we're clearing dungeons, and we all crash at least once, at different times in the dungeon and have to wait to load back in.

I'm sure many more people are experiencing this too?

Dang :( thanks for responding. It get's fairly annoying at the times that it happens for me. I'm usually finishing a dolmen, clearing a dungeon or in Cyrodiil (and always during conflict).

Yes i do. Crashes are horrible for me on Xbox one. Sometimes im crashing multiple times per hour. I have an Xbox one X and ESO on a SSD external drive.

See i would always have crashing issues especially in cyrdoiil and trials and DLC main cities? but now im crashing in overland non dlc areas, dungeons, everywhere, constantly.

Ever since they did the patch that fixed the UI error for people who pre-ordered summerset is when the crashes got particularly bad. Gina posted in my thread that some crash fixes for console will be included for summerset so we can only wait another whole month and hope. Although after today you need to take anything they say with a grain on salt as clearly plans can change...

Yea I have noticed it happening in other places more often as time goes by. During that XP event, It happened a lot in Cyrodiil, as that's where I was a lot. After the events ended, I noticed it happening in Dungeons a lot with my group, then started happening tome when I was out soloing in different zones (for me, especially Dolmens, with or without other people there) and now I am noticing that it is happening in major cities (this usually happening around 30 minutes to an hour after I first get on).

I am hoping that it will start to happen less and less.

I haven't experienced the symptoms you've described in many months, although it happened quite a bit before the last few updates. I've played about 700 hours and my wife, on her own Xbox, has played close to 1000 hours, we've found ESO to be pretty stable lately. I've never been to Cyrodiil so I can't comment on that and we haven't tried any dungeons yet.

You should probably post this in the Xbox technical support section and open a ticket, if you haven't already.

I already posted in the Xbox support section and finally got a comment on it. Nothing is going to be done outside of what fixes they already had planned for the chapter so it's wait and hope at this stage.

It could be that they are experiencing crashes under different circumstances than you or other players. I would still post there, since it is an Xbox technical issue, and they may have not tried the "usual" troubleshooting recommendations. It can't hurt to try opening a customer support ticket as well, while waiting for future fixes.

True, however the crash manner he and others have described (screen freezing, buzzing sound, back at xbox dashboard) is exactly what i am experiencing. Yeah extra tickets can only help not hurt.

yes --- and whats worse is if someone in my group is talking when it happens it will take one parts of the word they are saying and repeat it like 100 times until it crashes back to the ui.

I experienced several crashes the last days, but on EU-Server on Playstation 4 with internal SSD.

Was thinking I'd have to replace my hardware/SSD soon, but thanks to your post, it became more likely for me that it could be an issue around ESO.
Would be interesting to know if there're more PS4 players affected - and of course if it's solely a console problem.

Is the console making noise here?

This could be a console related problem. PS4/PS4 Pro models can also have this occur during really taxing gameplay sessions.

A forum I visit out side of this one, calls it 'Console Lottery'. It basically means, not all consoles are built equally. Some die more quicker, have more blatant issues then others. Check out this picture of two Nintendo Switches side-by-side. One screen is warmer/red, the other is cold/bluer. There is no way to fix these display issues.

    @Flamedrowner

I have a CoD3 bundle PS4 and have recently bought a GoW bundle PS4 Pro. If you have questions ask away. Generally speaking from my experience-- the CoD3 Bundle PS4 has seen a couple of bluescreening crashes. But it's progressively stopped over the past year. While, the GoW PS4 Pro, which is a much newer model over the CoD3 Bundle PS4, has not seen any crashes yet. Frame rate in Cyrodiil feels A LOT more soother on the PS4 Pro TBH. I was defending Ash, and a yellow army rode up to the keep, the whole time my frame rate was pretty stable. Usually it starts to tank when a lot of action breaks out on my regular PS4. The Pro seemed like it was keeping the boat steady the whole time AD attacked Ash.

My apologies, I should have clarified a little more on this.

No, the console itself does not make the loud humming noise. The game itself when freezing makes this noise. It is extremely loud when coming through my headset when the game crashed. When not using a headset, the humming noise comes through my sounds bar.

The console itself does not make a noise and runs perfectly fine, as this is only happening with ESO.

I do this about three times a week. I'll generally unplug my Xbox when I stop gaming for the night and go to bed. I'll leave it unplugged until I get home from work. Everything else works fine and fast, but haven't noticed a difference with ESO crashing. Still happens once every hour or so.

Have you tried re installing the game after every major patch? On my PS4, after every big patch I delete everything and re install. I found my ESO experience is better if done this way. I’ve seen wonky things happen if I just patch and not re install.
