Server Performance: Several requirements that were part of ability passives have been converted to server side encoded checks, which will cut down on requirements ran per ability use.
Client Performance: We have increased the amount of cpu cores used by the client which should improve framerate for players on mid to high end CPU's on PC platforms. On consoles and PC we have improved how characters are composited resulting in faster character loads and less framerate spikes.
Title says it all. Do something about your god awful connection to your servers ZOS. It's horrible. It's been horrible for years now. Multicore support will not improve horrible ping and packet data that gets lost when trying to connect to ZOS's potato servers. I know ZOS doesn't give a rat's ass, but I'd like to put this post up in the hopes that any potential new players who see this might get turned off by a game with god awful server performance. Skills firing off after 4 secs delays, people and npcs teleporting across the screen, are just a few things. I know I'm not the only one, and I know this is a major issue to many as noted in multiple polls with the overwhelming majority asking for a fix on server performance. Do something about it, otherwise state that you aren't instead of your generic moronic statements of "We're looking into it".

fyi: 'you' will be used in the general sense, not the personal.
one of tech supports favourite lines to hear from customers. Which inevitably gets proven incorrect in about 5-10 seconds because when you say nothings changed, you really mean 'you' didnt change anything, and you ignore the fact that computers are quite capable of doing things on their own, and even when you arent there. and well, you do change things too, but you just discount them because you feel they arent relevant. because being the expert you are, you know better.
similar to 'but i couldnt have used all that data, i wasnt home.' but your computer was on wasnt it?
and then there is ping. one of the worst things you can get customers to do, because once they know how to ping, they think they know what the numbers mean and then they use this to argue a point that they are totally wrong about. Ping didnt respond? its broken. except when its not, which is 99% of the time. Because ping is one diagnostic tool that can tell you some useful things but thats usually not what people think it tells them.

I don’t have much experience with other MMO but ESO lag does get but generally it seems fine. Granted sometimes it’s really unplayable, but this isn’t common. I mean o play from Asia and I can still successfully compete in PvP. Am I going to struggle against some of the best players in the US? Yes. Is it going to get weird in reallt big zerg battles? Yes. But there’s a big range between that and you should likely look into optimizing your setup if you have ongoing problems. And as others have said multi core is not lag it’s fps improvements.
