If ZOS is going to keep getting greedier and aggressive with the Crown Store why can't they throw veteran (and really ALL) subscribers a bone? I'm on the same page as those who hate gambling crates and in-game store exclusives. That said, ZOS needs to do something man. Not just to stop greedy practices but to start giving back to those of us who have been schilling out a subscription every month. It will soon be in the thousands per loyal player and ESO is doing the best it ever has. Time to start giving back to those who brought on the success. That's what I think anyway.

First real expansion comes and the scrap the sub model, letting the cancer run freely, slap on a pay gate and add microtransactions for good measure...
The answer from them was "here have a few crowns to spend on cosmetic trash, that will surely cover your hard earned money wasted on a subscription and buying a game under false advertising"
The cheek of it is that there is still a subscription and with the craft bag it is pay to win, if you are serious in this game, you have to have it..

This is ridiculous. What "bone" do you want thrown to you? I've been a subber since launch. I enjoy the benefits provided for said subscription. ZOS offers a service to you for a fee. You decide if what is offered is worth the asking price. They are not "getting greedier" by offering a revenue stream for their company, nor are they required to "give back" to those of us who have been subbing. You are owed nothing but what you pay for.

So regular sales of 40-50% off are now 20% and it's not greed? Also when the Crown shop first started things were alot cheaper back then also not greed?

Correct. It is not "greed". It is business and marketing strategy. Companies are not "greedy" for wanting to maximize a profit, even though you may not like the practice or find it distasteful. You are under no obligation whatsoever to purchase crowns if you don't like the sale they are offering.

Well good luck with that then, "Maxiimizing profit" lol, so glad I invested into the Lotro expansions instead of one house

To each his own. Do what you enjoy, but don't whine because a company isn't conducting business the way you want.

Well its good to have criticism towards it because if they don't learn from it then yeah, they'll end up like Swtor

The fact that the game is doing so well indicates that what ZOS are doing is providing a really decent game. Why do some of those who enjoy it always seem to expect some additional entitlement or other on top of that (while accusing the developers of greed)?

I would argue a lot of players stay for the TES, if they tried this with a new IP I dunno if it would be be anywhere near as attractive.
Super entitled post.
I'm actually impressed that they give us free crown crates for having ESO+ for those events. I know it's probably got a bit of a selfish motive, making people want more, too, but nothing is MAKING us buy more. So, free stuff.
Honestly, while I love/need the craft bag, it did encourage me to be less of a hoarder without it. You can play the base game like most videogames, like skyrim, etc. Where you have a limited inventory. You have limited bank space. Kinda seems like maybe they should increase the bank space, since it's shared, but that's another story....

You're impressed that they give you RNG boxes that have a better chance of containing garbage than anything good?
Jesus Christ.
