Question: State of Asylum/vDSA/vMA Weapons?

No access to PTS. Anyone even bother testing the disparity between 2-5-5 setups and setups the run unique weapons?

These weapons need a buff or the 3 pc jewellery sets need a buff.

Personally I prefer the latter as it opens up greater build diversity than just buffing unique weapons

I agree. They need to give them 2 set bonuses. The old stat bonuses should return, on top of the unique effect.

That would make them worth front barring.

As it stands now, people only back bar them so their front bar has 5/5/2

The frontbar 1pc/2pc weapon have been almost completely invalidated.

people are getting decent results with vMA DW now that they fixed it.
bow / bow setups will probably still want master bow on the front.

Other than that, front bar master, maelstrom and asylum are dead.

VDSA staves are out this patch. There’s no reason to slot the reach skill anymore. If you don’t use the reach skill, any bonuses buffing that are worth nil. Even if it gave 1K Max Magicka again, why would I ever use that over willpower for 1.4K and the chance to put on a three piece set for 200 spell damage?

Cage does damage now, force pulse can’t be reflected, and the new psijic elemental weapon spammable is pretty amazing how it applies a status effect every hit.

Whatever your needs, people will be using something else.
