Posted this in the Nighblade Mega-thread, but thought it could benefit from it's own post.

RIP Twisting Path. =P
Twisting Path is probably getting replaced with Refreshing if the nerf sticks as it is. PTS to LIVE comparison. Both characters had Atronach mundus stone, zero gear equiped, no CP points spent, no food buff, with the exact same skills on the bar. This is what I found.

Tooltip Damage
PTS~
Twisting= 397 (3510 magicka)
Refreshing= 330 DPS - 349 HPS (3510 magicka)
Blockade= 470 (3204 magicka)

Live~
Twisting= 490 (3510 magicka)
Refreshing= 348 DPS - 368 HPS (3510 magicka)
Blockade= 470 (3262 magicka)

Looks like Blockade got a super secret cost reduction so that's gotta stay on the bar.
The healing utility from refreshing path outweighs the sad DPS increase that Twisting gets now. It does LESS damage than Blockade and it costs MORE... 2 seconds of major expedition isn't worth that. I'd rather equip SPC and drop refreshing into my rotation with funnel Health.
Twisting path should be equal to Blockade as far as cost and effect. if the cost is higher, it should either do more damage, or offer a utility that makes it worth it.. if it's going to do less damage, and offer crap utility then it should cost less magicka. Hell, give it a synergy or something.

    I suggested a cost reduction for Path to compensate for the changes to it because it affects not only Magblade DPS but NB tanks and healers as well. The Strife change already is going to put more strain on Magic spec'd NBs across the board but the nerf to Path on top is just salt on the wound.

    A cost reduction to put it in line with WoE would at least help ease some of the issues.

    Yeah, this was not a smart adjustment on their part IMO. They didn't seem to weigh it against similar abilities or the other morph (which they seem not to do about half the time when changing skills)

    That's very typical.
    They gave Warden's a better version of Siphoning Attacks also, without fixing the problem with Siphoning that caused them to make Lotus Blossom better.

    Yeah. It sure seems like it. I can deal with the Strife change although I still think Funnel should heal 2 friendly targets.. I realy don't get why they hit Twisting path so damn hard.

    i can't. that change is making Magblade a sorc clone again. neither of these changes are really well thought out imo.

    if anything i think they should leave strife and Swallow soul as they are with lower cost. increase the cost of funnel health and make it heal 2 additional players, that would make the most sense.
