Elemental Weapon Consistently Applying Chilled 3x more than Concussion

Elemental Weapon is supposed to apply a random status effect (Burning, Concussion, Chilled). Obviously, you'll never get a perfect 1/3 for all status effects, but over a big enough sample size, you should see the numbers gravitate towards 33%.

Adding up my most recent 4 parses:

Chilled (Minor Maim) - 60, 61, 76, 48 = 245
Concussion (Minor Vulnerability) - 29, 23, 24, 13 = 89
Burning - 56, 45, 58, 33 = 192
Elemental Weapon Casts - 145, 129, 158, 94 = 526

Final %'s
Chilled - 245/526(46.6%)
Concussion - 89/526(16.9%)
Burning - 192/526(36.5%)

Chilled is applying almost 3x more often than Concussion.


This was all done with only Elemental Drain and an Inferno Staff (no gear, enchants, etc).

Also tested to see if it depended on what type of staff you had on, but it did not.

    i'm curious and haven't checked myself yet, so thanks for the test!
    does is state anywhere that the status effects all have the same chance to proc?
    might be by design to have a higher chance on chilled to regulate the damage gained from the morph.

    Yay! Another reason to not use this skill, besides its asinine proc time and rotation-breaking animations -_-

    When we first heard about it it sounded cool, but its been made very clear that they want the psijic line to be made up of filler abilities that 90% of people wont actually use. It feels like Warden all over again. Accelerate is the only useful ability in the line.

    Looks like chilled won out over both concussion and burning in all 4 of your tests, by nearly the same percentage every time. Not likely just chance on that. Not with that many casts.

    Could this have something to do with the fact that bosses are immune to concussed/off-balance for a period of time?

    There is no cooldown on concussion. As long as the target can be concussed (very few are completely immune), you can basically keep it up at 100%.
    Off Balance is a completely different thing.
