Gap closing on to enemy ads/players on keep walls

Am I correct in thinking this is still a no no and against the rules?

It is, but it's one of those ones ZOS has a hard time policing.

If you have video or images showing someone doing it deliberately you could try submitting and exploit report with it or sending a PM to ZOS staff here on the forums.
If you just have names of people doing it then I don't think they really have the means to check if someone has.

Thanks for that Turelus, I do have a video showing a very deliberate use of this exploit, I will PM to ZOS on here.

Best thing to do is try to scare the offender into not using it. I had some guy dO it to me a few times at the ash gate. First time I was like oh well Im trolling up the stairs honest mistake. 2nd time I'm standing in top, he sees me and then just crit rushes up 2 stories. I pm him "dude that's a bannable offense, I run shadown play, I wouldn't do that *** anymore" he took took he stairs the next time.

I gap close up from inside the keep all the time

You can gap close up stairs that's not an exploit. It's only an exploit when they use it to get in keeps which I believe was fixed years ago. But gap closing you at ash gate is perfectly acceptable

Really? Literally makes no sense lol. Sorcs and other ranged players can sit back and absolutely destroy people (try living through poisons and lethal arrow when their buddy drops frags on you and some other ranged cheese dot/burst combo) and melee people get banned for gap closing up a set of stairs. God, this really is "The Crybaby Scrolls Online". Maybe instead of blaming the player you could ask for a fix? Banning someone because you can't hold your game together makes zero sense anyhow. Guess if you're gonna be a player who can cheese ball at range ya gotta do it by the rules lmfao. I'd rather you gap close up two stories where I'm able to fight them close quarters than have some arsehat spamming ranged attacks from complete safety. You guys just don't like anything getting in the way of you being disgustingly overpowered on your kite sorcs that need nerfed into the ground, so you go run and tell daddy Wrobel that a sorc was hurt somewhere and he brings down the hammer of God lol lol. Whhhhhaaaaaahhhhhh

You can't, from the outside. I tried it several times, but can never get the skill to highlight to be able to execute it. They are seemingly too high/too far away for the skill to (legitimately) work.

not gapclosing per up stairs is bannable or an exploit and therefore no melee character gets punished for doing so. this discussion is about gapclosing to get onto keep walls, while the keep itself isnt sieged and otherwise there would be no way to even enter that keep. so gapclosing onto keep walls counts as exploiting and is bannable, because it is a locatiion you should not reach without opening up a keep. if you want to say, that a ranged class on top of keep walls is not fair, when you with a melee stand down there, then this is another problem, one that is called l2p. the other thing about gapclosing up a wall is a widely known issue and everyone knows, that it shouldnt be doable. so if you see somebody doing it, he did it with full intention to exploit, thats why those people are bannable. you dont see people gapclosing up keep walls by accident, that doesnt happen, therefore everyone doing it knows how the exploit works and is bannable by taking advantage of the exploit.

You can also add videos to an in game report.

They have made the steps to do so a bit more complicated than it used to be... but, it's really not that hard to do (once you are aware of it).

From SUPPORT (up top), LOG IN- >"MY SUPPORT" and a list of tickets you have put in will appear. From there you can add screenshots and videos by selecting the customer service ticket and under "Update this ticket" and the clickable "Attach Additional Documents to Your Ticket". Then click on the "UPDATE TICKET" button.

I thought they fixed gap closing into keeps too, but it happened to me twice yesterday. I was going into the postern door and someone ambushed me and they teleported inside the keep with me.

This was at ash gate, I'm standing on the 2nd lvl stairs and the dude kept using it from the ground to get to me on the top floor. I assume this is the same offense as getting into keeps. But zos is unclear and inconsistent with things like this.

You mean the cinematic trailer that has next to no relation to actual gameplay?

Because there's a note from ZOS saying that bypassing the need to siege walls/doors in order to enter a keep is an exploit here: https://forums.elderscrollsonline.com/en/discussion/278031/cyrodiil-cheating-exploiting-you/p1

As others have noted, its hard to,enforce, but its definitely an exploit, taking advantage of something ZOS didn't intended and doesn't seem able to fix.
