I have some frustrations with some mail features and I see I'm not alone on some of them.

1) Why automatically delete in 3 days? maybe someone sends me text of information I need, don't want to forget. Maybe I read something, but have to go out of town for the weekend. Maybe you need to remember their name, or their crafting order, or whatever. There are many reasons why someone may want an empty email of just words kept around for more than three days.

2) Why no REPLY button? Trying to respond to someone (especially not in guild or friend-list, like if you do business), is pretty annoying. Something simple like responding to an email shouldn't require a pen and paper by the computer to do.

These two items really confuse me as I would personally consider them easy to program and pretty natural to have in a game mail system.

It has a LOT of flaws, but so does chat in the game also. They even added more bugs to grouping where it almost always says "failed to join group" after lagging and then lags and works and sometimes just decides to not work.

Yes, they know about this, or at least I hope they do.

FYI, it deletes after 30 days.
If you haven't logged in, on any character since all characters can see it on your account, in 30 days then you probably don't play anymore or at least there is no guarantee you will.

Notify your friends if you plan to not play for a vacation.

Did they increase text only emails to 30 days? that is better. It was just 3 days unless there was something in it. I've been having folks put a piece of junk in any mail I've wanted to keep.

It's 3 days for a COD mail to be auto returned. This is to protect the seller, though many people feel 3 days is too long.

All other mail types are 30 days without checking before auto-delete. A read mail never auto deletes, I have the mail from my first emp crowning (and dethroning) that are 30-months old

If you are on pc, there are add-ons for replying, group mails and attachment handling. We just need there to be a refresh or force-receive function.

Text-only mails are still 3 days only afaik. Yes it is flawed, but at least this you can circumvent by attaching one gold, a potato, etc.

My primary issue with mails is and has always been that they get clogged up by AvA and BG reward mails. It makes me barely use the system when I have to go through dozens, sometimes hundreds, of mails before getting to do what I actually want.

/Agree. Mine is completely clogged - has been for months - and I have neither the inventory space nor the inclination to clear it out.

Just let us delete them!!
