Uhm...I picked up Anniversary Quests before the End of Event - Compensation Required

So I woke up very early this morning at 9am and logged into ESO so I can grab my daily quests before the expiration date. I had to go to work so I logged off. When I came back tonight, I completed the quests and did not receive my anniversary rewards! Even though I got guesting started at 9am. I got quests in my journal before the event ended. So I should get anniversary bags. It's only fair.

This is very disappointing. Especially since I skipped my lunch so I could hurry home. ZOS, how will you fix this?? I command compensation and some free things too. I ruined my work day and now my game day has been ruined.

Until the event, I haven't played since 2015, and now I'm thinking ZOS won't receive another dime from me and I will take my business somewhere else.

can't tell if serious or sarcastic....

if you are serious, umm event ends at 10am and rewards with it. doesn't matter when you picked up the quests. the fact that you could have grabbed dailies right before the event and then turned them in at the start of the event and get rewards, despite picking them up before event was active? should have been a clue right there that rewards are tied to the event duration itself and NOT when you first picked up the quests.

I really can't tell if you're serious or not. Just in case, anniversary boxes were always awarded at the time the quest is turned in. Most rewards are awarded at the time you turn in the quest. I'm not sure why you'd think you would be put in some sort of anniversary box queue.

Actually I had the same issue .

Take the quest before the timer and completed after the timer , I did not receive any rewards .

You have to complete them and turn them in before the event, not pick them up and not do them before the event is over.

it does after a fashion. in that you could have for example picked up a bunch of dailies the day before the event, and then turned them in during event and gotten double the event rewards on the first day, since you could do dailies from both days on the same day.

but... rewards themselves are tied to a timer... which is also why above worked, since you would have picked up the first batch of dailies before the start of the event, and STILL gotten event rewards.

Hey there... I think I got what you're missing, because for me it was the other way 'round:
I had some quests that I accepted before the event startet, did them during the event and was rewarded with anniversary boxes!

So wait a year to "compensate" yourself by accepting, but not finishing, your daily writs on the day before the event starts and do twice as many writs on the first day of the event for twice as many anniversary boxes!

For the first day I had quests from the day before that I literally just had to turn in, I had 25 quests to turn in for one and all my characters had crafting dailies to turn in.

I've picked up all possible dailies with all of my chars (15 so far). will be doing them without haste.
planning to turn all in at the very beginning on next year anniversary, when droprate is highest

Lol you know I had one char posted in cyro with 34 boxes in bag, and I even made a point to log onto her and open all, because I wanted to be sure they wouldn't vanish. *who knows* but those quests are always there, they just also award boxes during event.

But yeah - pretty sure this is The Onion.

Still at least pending quests can be completed at all.

For Jester's Festival or New Life Festival your quest log can get clogged with incomplete dailies, which are impossible to complete once the quest is over because the quest NPC is no longer there.

It is always a matter of when you finish a quest, not when you start.

In theory the Jester's Festival / New Life Festival quest could be handed in next year.

As compensation you will be sent some Jubilee boxes....containing some worms and crawlers. Happy fishing.

I'm pretty sure you answered your own question. You turned it in after the deadline. End of story. This is the way the world works, and it isn't as if everyone didn't get an extra week.
