It is a useless notification, but I assume that is only coming up because of PTS.
I do not want to see it after the first time on live servers either. Actually, I don't really need to see it the first time either because that is something you should learn when you open the crown store as some sort of notification exclusive to that window.

Actually, your idea is for an overall setting, if it is not presented on each purchase, which is not a good idea. That would force you to go back out and change the setting every time in a different window than the item you are trying to buy. It could also break and just gift everything you buy to someone else, perhaps if it remembers who you last gifted something to.

This is the easiest and safest implementation of the gifting feature to ask it "at checkout" like even Steam does.
