Jewelry crafting is way to grindy

So I just did a small test of deconstructing 50 gold rings. From this test I got 35 grains so 70% of the time I got a grain from deconstructing a ring. This sounds pretty decent until you realize that you need 80 grains to upgrade one item. This is unacceptable tedium for crafting. This combined with needing 10 times the amount of trait stones means that everything is just 10 times more of a grind than it needs to be. This isn't even taking into account the rarity of the nodes themselves. This system is also extremely biased against crafters and instead will only be usable by people that have large quantities of gold jewelry to decon. Unlike the other crafts, the main source of upgrade materials will be from deconstructing existing jewelry due to the rarity of the nodes and the quantity of materials needed.

I mean, I don't want it to be easy, but I do want to feel like I can make reasonable progress. With the system as it is, the rate of crafting and improving items is so slow that by the time you can afford to craft or upgrade one set of gear, the meta will have likely shifted due to the quarterly rate of patch cycles. That doesn't feel right to me.
