Then they continue to push Summerset to the lowest of lows in regards to the Crown Store. I would be willing to give them the benefit of doubt over this one, but we will see. This one is new to me but damn if that's not a bug that's pretty low.Another concern is Psijic crates ‘rewarding’ body markings available for free in character creation. Still no confirmation on if that’s a bug or just further evidence that ZOS doesn’t see the players as anything but cash-milking material
Have you or anyone else bug reported it?
What if this is NOT a bug...?
ZOS is very lazy, in crown crates we are always getting tons of old items which were available for direct purchase is the past, or old items with new textures, like mounts and pets.
What if their laziness went even more further and now they will put base game features in crates?
As one of the ex "ESO's monetization is not that bad" apologists, I'm starting to change my mind. They're wading into dodgy SWTOR downfall territory.
I think we should put it up in a poll and see if there are people who make polls without an agenda.Obviously voting against them, because no one makes a poll on the ESO forums without an agenda.
It's not an outfit. It's a crafting motif (meaning you can make it over and over and over again as well as it possibly being used for writs, which I admit we don't know yet (and the 2 other Crown exclusive motifs are not) and also make gear to trade/give to other players.gnarlyvandal wrote: »1) it doesn’t affect your performance in anyway as it is simply an outfit
Opinion. A LOT of people have been wanting Maormer stuff for ages nowgnarlyvandal wrote: »2) it’s not even close to being the best looking outfit IMO
Again, a motif, not an outfit. It can be used to create outfits, yes. But for some poeple, crafting is their endgame. They want to collect the motifs, and furnishing plans, and recipes.gnarlyvandal wrote: »3) we literally just had a HUGE (3 week) motif and craft mats giveaway event that’s been extended to the Monday coming up, do people really not have enough outfits? I’ve managed to complete 3 of my favoured sets in this time including worm cult
Speculation. Given that ZO$ is selling outfit slots at 1500 crowns per slot PER CHARACTER they might end up selling more slots for people to make use of multiple outifts (though I personally hope not since that price is insane, lol)gnarlyvandal wrote: »4) if anyone here thinks the motif giveaway has negatively affected the in-game market, imagine how much ZO$ are losing.. I’d be pretty certain people won’t be paying for outfits with crowns whilst also farming ‘better looking’ sets in game.
That's great for you. But for all the crafters who do not buy crates, it's a slap in the facegnarlyvandal wrote: »5) i personally spend my subscriptions worth of crowns on the crates anyway, a chance to get an extra motif page for doing something I do anyway would be kind of cool imo
Again, it's not about the outfits. It's about getting all the styles/crafting recipes learned of which it is already an ever moving goal post with stuff now locked behind a massive RNG paywallgnarlyvandal wrote: »6) It’s not the best idea, but I can really only see hardcore outfit collection fans & whales actually attempting to get these pages

Good shout, updated.Turelus You should update the opening post of this thread, since we now have confirmation.

The 86% complainig about the store were the same people complaining about sub fees and wanting f2p b2p games. Well congrats boys you created this yourself.
I dont buy store item with real money i pay a sub and use what they give me. Right now the cool thing to do in the "video game forum community" is complain about the stores. I find it ironic and hilarious as most of you brought this on yourself.
Istoppucks wrote: »Do they think a gimmick like this is going to convince the people who don’t buy crates to start buying them? Or convince the people who buy a few every season to buy a lot more?
It seems more likely to rub even the people who buy crates the wrong way.
It sure doesn’t make me want to start buying crates. It signals a trend that makes me want to buy fewer crowns actually.
Pretty sure nothing will get people like you to buy crates. You dont like them Thats fine. The problem with those like you is you think nobody should be allowed to buy or like them because you dont. The good news is that is not how the world works.
Actually, that is our right as consumers. If they do not listen then we don't buy and they go under.People seem to want ZOS to make money and be successful, but also what to be able to dictate how the do it, I am not sure we can have that cake and eat it too.
strangeradnd wrote: »If it is cosmetic only I could care less if they make it exclusive. The minute you need that motif to complete a writ my opinion will pull a 180.
I do buy crates but I don't spend massive amounts of money on them. I get what I get and if I don't get something I would like, hey that's how RNG works and tough crap for me and I'm ok with that.
