ZOS is very lazy, in crown crates we are always getting tons of old items which were available for direct purchase is the past, or old items with new textures, like mounts and pets.

What if their laziness went even more further and now they will put base game features in crates?

Then they continue to push Summerset to the lowest of lows in regards to the Crown Store. I would be willing to give them the benefit of doubt over this one, but we will see.

If it is cosmetic only I could care less if they make it exclusive. The minute you need that motif to complete a writ my opinion will pull a 180.

I do buy crates but I don't spend massive amounts of money on them. I get what I get and if I don't get something I would like, hey that's how RNG works and tough crap for me and I'm ok with that.

1) it doesn’t affect your performance in anyway as it is simply an outfit
2) it’s not even close to being the best looking outfit IMO
3) we literally just had a HUGE (3 week) motif and craft mats giveaway event that’s been extended to the Monday coming up, do people really not have enough outfits? I’ve managed to complete 3 of my favoured sets in this time including worm cult
4) if anyone here thinks the motif giveaway has negatively affected the in-game market, imagine how much ZO$ are losing.. I’d be pretty certain people won’t be paying for outfits with crowns whilst also farming ‘better looking’ sets in game.
5) i personally spend my subscriptions worth of crowns on the crates anyway, a chance to get an extra motif page for doing something I do anyway would be kind of cool imo
6) It’s not the best idea, but I can really only see hardcore outfit collection fans & whales actually attempting to get these pages

It's not an outfit. It's a crafting motif (meaning you can make it over and over and over again as well as it possibly being used for writs, which I admit we don't know yet (and the 2 other Crown exclusive motifs are not) and also make gear to trade/give to other players.

Again, a motif, not an outfit. It can be used to create outfits, yes. But for some poeple, crafting is their endgame. They want to collect the motifs, and furnishing plans, and recipes.

Speculation. Given that ZO$ is selling outfit slots at 1500 crowns per slot PER CHARACTER they might end up selling more slots for people to make use of multiple outifts (though I personally hope not since that price is insane, lol)

Again, it's not about the outfits. It's about getting all the styles/crafting recipes learned of which it is already an ever moving goal post with stuff now locked behind a massive RNG paywall

Sickening the way they're going with this crates nonsense. Simply sickening.

Its like any other gambling its bad.. and should be stamped out..

I know there is no way of dissuading anyone that will buy the crates with the intent of pursuing this motif. But I really hope that players realize how deep of a rabbit hole this is. That ultimately they will be paying more for this motif than any other motif ever. Including other motif books found in the crown crates.

At the time I voted, it was only 88% against, which is not even close to what it takes to get ZOS to reconsider. That, unfortunately, is somewhere around 200%.

It's interesting to note... Many people voiced their discontent with the outfit slot pricing. And instead of re-thinking that maybe they were a bit excessive with the slot pricing, ZOS marketing and Leadership crank out crown store outfit packs and this atrocious RNG box exclusive motif.

I am sure the plans to do the outfit packs were long in the works. ZOS decision makers could have taken customer feed-back into consideration, and re-evaluated their pricing tactics, they instead seem to have a different business approach for those of us who refuse to buy outfit slots, and RNG boxes:
