The two biggest nuisances with Wrothgar dailies - please fix?

I've been meaning to post this two months ago, but thank you ZOS!
Now, let's head on to make the Summerset dailies less annoying.
Quests

Meat for the Masses: Reduced the amount of meat required for this quest to 25.
Reeking of Foul Play: You now only need to rescue two groups of prisoners, and the events will respawn faster.
Scholarly Savage: Reduced the page count required to complete the secondary condition to 10.

While DailyAutoShare at least ensures that the quests get passed around reliably, there are two things in particular that I absolutely loathe about the Wrothgar dailies, and it would be awesome if they could be addressed in a future patch. Neither of them should be complicated to fix.

King-Chief Edu: Rescue three prisoners.
There are, if I'm not mistaken, four or five spawn spots in total. Each of these spots is regularly camped by 5+ players spamming various AOEs to tag one of the mobs and get the prisoner counted towards their quest - so that when they finally respawn, it takes about two seconds until they're gone again. On top of that, you have to stand almost on top of the spot to have them count for you if another group member tags one of the mobs.
Solution: Please increase both the respawn rate and the radius drastically. The dolmen has a similar objective, and those count all over the map.

The poachers:
"Help, adventurer! There's a group of poachers killing far too much of the local wildlife! We're all going to starve because the animals are going extinct! Please stop them - and bring me fifty stew meat!"
Please either reduce the amount of stew meat to more manageable levels (20 or so), or increase the drop rates (it's ridiculous that a mammoth drops only seven). On top of that there are mammoths near Shatul way shrine who don't drop any stew meat at all.

Thank you for your consideration. :)

Disclaimer: I'm not doing the quests just during the event, so I'm familiar with doing them during off-times - it's less annoying then, but still a bother.

How about putting the quest givers a little closer to a damned wayshrine.

Not nearly as annoying as the fifty stew meat or the missing prisoners. :D

IIRC, there are 5 Prisoner Spawn Points. Down by the River under some rocks and across the river are the other two besides the 3 along the cliffs

As for the Poachers, we run a path that gets us all 50 Meat in short order. Go to the Mammoths first, then head to the right around the rocks near the water and then in a rough circle back. Also, any animal in the zone has a chance to drop the red meat, even the Elks and Horkers.

Also, if your just now visting Wrothgar during the Exp Event, that would explain the frustrations you are having. My guild runs an event every Wednesday Night where we do all the Wrothgar bosses and other players are rarely a factor. During this event, it is a free for all.
Enjoy the game, life is what you really want to be worried about.

i agree with OP on both poachers and Edu, but why do the quests have to be shared, why cant a player just pick up all 6 quests from a bounty board

Poachers is okayish when there is no event around, but yeah half of the meat or double the amounts dropped would be fine. Or if the echats in the waves before boss spawns would drop them...

Goblin becomes annoying af already if there is just one other player doing it. It feels like the prisoners have a higher respawn timer than the boss himself.

It also eludes me why the quest isnt obtainable from the board next to wayshrine in wrothgrar...same as the harpy-egg seller guy not accepting the turn in unless u go visit him in Morkul Stronghold.

And why cant i pick up all 12 and than have a nice run over the whole map?
Totally not asking for a Grey Passage in all the base zones xD

Wrothgar is much more crowded during the event. I've been going there regularly and doing the quests for the motifs and I usually don't have a problem finishing up quests.

I have to agree with the point about Edu. If other people are doing it —event or not— you can very easily miss the window that they’re “up” because of the camping at spawn points. The camping itself isn’t the problem so much as camping each spawn point + AoE bombing once they spawn is. This is why I won’t do Edu for the event. I did it once for the anniversary and ended up dropping it because I spent so long trying to get those prisoners. It just wasn’t worth it.

For poachers, I just go to somewhere far from the boss to get it if the zone is busy. And remember that the boss herself will drop several pieces, so it's a good idea to start there and move away.

The prisioners could definitely respawn more quickly. And if you are in a group, it should give you credit if you are close even if you don't hit them yourself.

Same for the slag town quest in cwc. I won't do it right now as it is very difficult to find any of the nodes with so many people there doing the same quest.

I don't deny that it's possible to finish the quests, and that there are certain ways to make them slightly less bothersome. That's not the point of this post.
My point is that these quests are - to me - annoying. They are not fun. They don't feel rewarding. Yes, it's debatable how much dopamine I can expect from a repeatable quest in an MMO, but that is also not the point of this post.

In my opinion it would be easy to fix the two biggest issues and bring those two quests on par with the other boss dailies in Wrothgar in terms of effort/reward. :)

I don't find them just as bad because there are several ogre spawns where the pages can be gotten, and it's only 20 pages and not 50. But I can see why you'd find them annoying.

The Anniversary event really showed some of the weaknesses with some of the daily quests.

This is an MMO, people play together, and in events such as the Anniversary one, people will grind the living shizz out of dailies like this, you know that. Why oh why do you insist on making players compete with one another over quest objectives, why is it that having other players around de facto increases the time I have to spend in order to finish a daily, with people robbing the quest objectives from underneath one another's noses. If I wanted to compete with other players, I would go into PvP land, why can't you design quest dailies to actually incentivize coorporation?

Gold Coast is a shining example on how this should be done, Minotaur quest objectives are instanced and do not disappear when someone grabs them, hence they are free to take for all questers. In a group, you even get quest advancement if another group member grabs them before you.

Wrothgar is horrible. Edu is by far the worst one, I actually actively avoid doing it simply because it takes ages to finish off the secondary objetive. The problems, as Manavortex spelled out for you, is that the respawn on the mobs is extremely long. Poachers is pretty bad too, seeing as other, competing groups often wipe the whole zone free of echatere, mammoths and other animals that drop meat.
Compare that to Zan the Titan and Nyz the Dwemer automaton, or even Cori the Reachman, and you can see how easily you can grab those secondary objectives. They even respawn very fast so it doesn't take forever to finish those.

Vvardenfell world boss dailies are great, they can all be finished off pretty fast, even with competing players around.

Then there's Clockwork City. Once again horrible game design. People compete with one another for the Daedric intrusion sites for Fine Feathered Foe, dropping AoEs all over the place and ult'ing down the mobs as fast as they spawn, keeping other players from being able to score a hit. This is Edu all over again.
The Imperfect isn't much better, the quest objectives at least spawn somewhat faster, but once again you have to compete with all the other players to grab them first, just to have several of them tugged underneath your nose by someone else.

ZOS - basic game design tells you that in an online MMO like this you should incentivize coorporation, yet your quest design only incentivizes being selfish and snuffing your competition, aka. the other players. some of the world bosses you get right, and they are nice and easy to do, others you do very, very wrong, and people actively avoid doing those dailies just because how frustrating it is to get nowhere in your quest advancement, simply because there are other people around.

This goes for some of the daily delves as well, especially the CWC delves in the Hall of Regulation, where you have to collect quest items that only drop from Factotum NPCs. The place is stripped completely clean of Factotums, and people ult down every Factotum they see meaning you can spend a good while just running down empty hallways and build up frustration.

Please consider the coorporation vs competition when designing daily quests for an online, multiplayer game.

I'm not saying you're wrong because I've experienced this myself but this shouldn't even be a problem. Algorithms should be kicking in to raise the respawn rate when there are rapid mob kills.
