Imbue Weapon Feels Terrible - Potential Animation Issue?

I made a short video of me trying to continuously weave Elemental Weapon (imbue weapon morph), and then doing a dummy parse with it.
The only way I can explain the skill animation is that whenever you use it, there's a good chance that your next ability will not fire when you press it, and you will lock up. This happens whether you use Elemental weapon and then another ability, or try to continually weave Elemental weapon.
Hopefully this is just a glitch? The skill is really strong and useful, but if it's going to make your character spaz out on every use, it will never be worth using.

To me it looks like you´re switching from
la => skill
to something like
skill => la
In the process destroying the animations. Haven´t tested myself though as i haven´t found a way to access the skillline - and don´t have time to go questing on pts...Edited by Derra on April 17, 2018 6:31AM<Noricum>

✭✭✭✭✭Just went through the effort to unlock this skill through the Psijic quest. I thought it would be a worthy competitor for force pulse with good light attack weaving. I have to agree with @LZH that the skill is incredibly clunky to use. The animation is longer than other instant cast skills, and doesn't even seem to be a consistent length. For a skill that is clearly designed for weaving with light attacks, it could definitely use some animation smoothing.1 -

On the bright side, apparently it's an animation issue that they're going to fix.2 -
