[Summerset] ZOS please revert Sunder/NMG changes, and improve Alkosh

    But actually no nerfs or buffs needed,it works just fine. Even more, as you can now transmute jewelry into healthy - no need to change the set.

    I’m hoping they reverse this decision come live. With that in mind, it would make better sense if they were reversed. And maybe if minor fracture/breach got a significant buff.

    Because minor breach/fracture is somewhat hard to get in the game if there’s no Stamplar around. It would be perfect on NMG IMO. As a useful crafted set.

    Sunder-flame should be left alone.

    Yeah, people do not realize that Alkosh is not supposed to be a tank set.

    It may be designed as a DPS set but it is still more attractive for Raid groups to put this set on a tank.

    Tanks adopted the set before the synergy rework since they were the only ones who could reliably proc the set. Even after these changes, it still requires some effort to maintain uptime.

    stamina literally has a weapon that gives you 10 or 20% penetration. it is like everyone forgot about mauls and maces. with sunder and NMG gone, mauls got a buff as far as i see.

    problemw ith this weapon this penetrations is comming only after every other armor reduction like just major fracture, youre penetration from cp, sets etc.....when boss have this 18k resist I see you think maces are ignoring flat 20% armor from this so it is 3.6k penetration for you ( I dont think you have even played stamina as you dont know how maces work)
    but in practice its:
    18.2k > major fracture -5.2k resists reduced = 13k > alkosh -3k = 10k > crusher enchant -1.6k = 8.4k and here we will take 20% armor ignore from mace wchich will be less thn 1.7k additional penetration

    btw not included even cp for some additional penetration and optional 1.5k from kragh which will make even less effective mace and didnt included nmg with sunderflame as this is example for "very useful maces" penetration after nefrs to nmg with sunderflame

    will you equip dual maces just to get pathetic additional maybe 1.5k - 1.7k penetration replacing by this 5-10% for crit with/or additional bleed from axes? I dont think even additional 2k penetration will be worth for this price

    Wrong. Maces and Mauls take debuffs into account, but NOT your own penetration. Please dont spread misinformation.

    Here are statistics on how much debuffs you need to reach better results with a dagger than a mace:

    This shows how much mitigation you have to achieve in order to reach the break-even point between a dagger and a mace.

    This depends largely on the critical chance and critical damage you have. If your critical chance is low, a dagger is giving you more additional damage than in a scenario where you already have more critical chance.

    Example: If you are a stamina sorcerer that has 50% critical chance before the 5% from the dagger is added, you'd be better off using a amce if your enemy with 18200 resistance has less than 7065 of debuffs on him. So in any case where that is not achieved, a mace will give you more damage than a dagger. If you have 64% critical chance prior to a dagger (if you are khajiit, use advancing yokeda or something similar), then you need 7719 of debuffs to benefit more from a dagger than a mace.

    What I'm saying is that since the removal of Unique Penetration Debuffs, the border between thos weapons has been reduced significantly, since you can not obtain that amount of penetration as easily. On bosses yes, but in many trials where you are alone and Tanks will not debuff enemies enough (2nd Boss Upstairs vHoF, 4th Boss vHoF, vCR if you go in the shadow realm, vAS for protectors and minibosses etc), then you can also use a mace. Nightblades have a higher critical base chance due to their assassination passive, but also have higher critical damage.

    @Lord_Ninka Oh my gawd, where have you been. Alkosh on the tank has been meta for over a year. Also PLEASE stop stealing the Tanks sustain, aka any synergies besides extra Orbs, or a Shard you asked for.
