Fairly new-ish to Cyrodiil, what are good strategies?

My characters aren't that high of a level I have a cp170 MagDk (EP) and a lvl 27 StamBlade (DC).

Been playing ESO since 2015, but only recently started actively partaking in Cyrodiil. What are good strategies to gain alliance points, help your alliance and just stay alive in general and help keep the fight going?

I've always been a solo player, except when I am on with a friend or two. My cousin and I have been helping out in Cyrodiil as of late, but I am there alone most of the time. Where should I put myself to best help out? Obviously I'm not that strong, I've been playing with my lvl 27 toon in PvP as he fairs way better than my MagDk. When I load into Cyrodiil, I pop open the text chat to see what everyone is doing and usually group up where most of my alliance is at and go with the flow.

Really looking for pointers on what I should be focusing on rather than just questing in Cyrodiil, I actually want to help out and learn.

I'm on Xbox NA if that makes a difference at all.

i enjoy playing solo also...for the first 8 months or so in cyrodiil i played solo...

eventually though I figured out I'd need to group up to figure out what was going on...

after about four or five months of listening to people eating chips and coughing in my ear (with a bit of barking dog and crying baby thrown in), i was able to go back to rolling solo...

zerg surfing is fun, but, to really learn how to siege and focus on objectives, you have to join some groups and hope you get lucky with some good groupmates to help explain different tactics and map strategy...

try to slot abilities that will help debuff enemies and support allies...carry siege and deploy it for keep captures and defense...even soloing resources can be helpful to your alliance...

Here are the four things I wish somebody had told me when I started in Cyrodiil.
    1. Wear impenetrable trait armor
    2. Join a group, preferably one that is organized and fits your playstyle. Organized groups tend to stay alive and make more AP in the long run
    3. Feed your horse! Cyrodiil is a big zone and high speed and stam helps a ton.
    4. Joy_Division's Midyear Mayhem guide is amazing: https://forums.elderscrollsonline.com/en/discussion/360956/joy-s-advice-for-midyear-mayhem-event/p1

You forgot to mention chirping smoke detectors and mic feedback/echo...echo...echo... lol

Can't really add much to the excellent advice above, save knowing what siege to use and where (and you may already know this).

Basically, regular ballistas work best for hitting keep walls (They do 2x the damage of fire and/or lightning ballistas and are a little faster than stone trebs. They can also be placed closer to one another).

Fire ballistas are good against enemy siege weapons.

When sieging from the front of a keep or outpost, hit the wood (door). When sieging from the side, do not hit the door (Does no damage) - hit the stonework instead. Avoid hitting sections of outer walls that have doors in them. On inner posterns and outposts, even hitting the steps can do damage and help bring down the side wall)

If you're happy solo, maybe just support offensive keep strikes by setting up siege, or if your stamblade is a bow/range build, keep the defenders from popping their heads too far out on those walls with some well-chosen snipes and poison injections.

Oils are still good for helping defend, generally more effective on flags than above the door, but door oils can slow down an attack, giving defenders more time to arrive.

Solo also lends itself well to scouting. There's not much AP in that, but you can alert your faction to an impending attack via Zone text chat and that's very helpful.

Step 3: Exit meatbag while it is reloading and spam mutagen / rapid regen
    Step 4: Fire meatbag again.
    Step 5: Profit.

Thank you for this! After reading, I now understand I have been doing a couple things wrong, this really helps!

Right now I am using my level 27 StamBlade, having fun with it so far.

I have seen a lot of people talk about StamDen. I have not yet played as a warden yet, is it any good?
