It's gonna take me a week to get this thing downloaded it seems, is there anyway I can simply copy the game from live client over then patch that up? Any help appreciated, even if it is a "no way".

temjiu✭✭✭✭Nope. Only path to PTS atm is via the launcher.
you may want to double check to make sure you allow all the ports for the PTS. Can't tell you what they are, but you should at least get a download rate similar to the normal client.
I started mine last night, and it was available for play when I got up this morning. Can't say how long it took, but That's probably the easiest way to do it.

VexingArcanist✭✭✭✭I resolved my issue, it was on my end. For whatever reason I usually do everything with wifi but switching to wired connection insanely increased the download rate. Never had an issue with it but this computer is a fairly recent addition so I am guessing something is up with the internal wifi.
The game completed it's download very soon after the switch, I had been stuck at 10-14% for two days pretty much.0
