Templar
Aedric Spear
- Burning Light: Increased the damage done by this passive ability by approximately 9%.
- Piercing Spear: This passive ability now only affects Critical Damage, and does not affect Critical Healing.
- Puncturing Sweep (Puncturing Strikes morph): Increased the healing done by this morph to 40% of the damage done from 35%.
Developer Comments: This puts Templar healing while damaging more in line with other classes, and takes into account they don’t have Major Mending active at all times.
So, those developer comments suggest they're trying to bring Templar's healing up a bit by increasing by 5% our healing done with puncturing sweeps since we lost Major Mending. That's fine even though it's not really significant, even less if you compare it with Major Mending. But the real problem here is not the buff, it's that
we have been nerfed. See, the fact that our passive now doesn't affect critical healing doesn't compensate with this 5% increase healing on puncturing sweeps. We've just had our healing in PvP and PvE nerfed again.
It's true that we've been buffed if your build used staves, same as all other magicka classes and it's true that we hit slightly harder, but i believe is not enough to bring templars up to where they should be. I think Zenimax should try to listen to all the magnificent ideas that the templar community has been bringing up and acknowledge that the class needs a bit of rework. Also it would be cool to stop nerfing our core abilities, those that make us special as a class or we'll end up dissapearing as we already are.
We still have many abilities that are not being used and that are not being reworked. There's space for improvement. Go for it please!
