Can't play at all

Logged in today, performance was dreadful couldn't go 2 seconds without screen freezing, got kicked out for unknown error, now I can't even log in to character select - game loads for ages then gets to character screen, kicks me out cos connection to server timed out... I was there for the stress test I thought the whole point of that was to get the servers up to scratch, they were actually working better in the last beta than now... What's going on? I paid for early access, you've taken my money and I'm getting nothing for it? This needs to be fixed it isn't fair to anyone who pre ordered.

I read a previous post suggesting I could fix this with the repair option in the launcher, an option I don't currently appear to have, so I can't do that.

I've been trying to log in for over an hour now, restarted launcher... Just managed to get past character load... And... Random black screens while waiting ages for load... I mean like 15 mins here... Probably more like 20 by now... At this point even if I do manage to log in this isn't good enough, it's worse than it was at beta... And connection to server times out again, of course. Something needs to be done so I can actually play the game I bought! Starting to feel pretty ripped off.

    Just got in, over 1 hour 30 mins to get logged in... But logged in.

    Got 16 minutes of play time, much of which with fps problems, before it finally froze and I was kicked out again, connection to server timeout. Please tell me what the problem is and when I can expect to be able to play, or even post as an announcement so everybody can see...

    I hope you filed a support ticket thing, because this forum is being used for alot more than customer support, what with no general discussion sub-forum in english.

    Hello!

    Then please provide more information about your computer.

    Did you try to disable your firewall and antivirus?
    Did you try to repair via the installer?
    Did you update your graphic card?

    Your problems seem to be connected with your computer and not with the game itself, sorry to say that.

    Did you restart your router? It seems like a network problem. You can google for "ports router elder scrolls online" and should find which ports to forward on router, this could fix your problem.

    I didn't know about support tickets, haven't had any problems needing support before! I'll definitely find where to submit them now tho, thanks.

    Good news for me is I have since managed to play after waiting a couple hours for traffic to go down or be shuffled around, which is what I had begun to think the problem was... Maintenance time now tho so yet to see if it stays this way.

    But it was working fine after a break, I haven't had to restart the router or disable the firewall but I will certainly remember those solutions in future times of lacking connectivity as my firewall did update this morning and yesterday I could play just fine, seems like that could very well have affected something... although maybe not if it works fine now anyway? Still gonna remember n check in future cos they're easy things to try n might fix the problem if I get it again.

    My launcher, I did mention, seems to have no repair option, however I have checked and am running the latest version if that helps. I am confident my graphics drivers are up to date as I reinstalled windows a few days ago and checked for graphics card updates then, also would have affected the game yesterday.

    @cazzandra‌ good to hear that it works now. Only change something if it does not work anymore :) good rule of thumb ;)
