Can't claim level 2 rewards

Started a new character. When I leveled the first time, I can click on the claim rewards for level 2 but nothing happens. This stops me from getting the skill point or assigning attribute.

Will try a re-log to see if it helps... nope. Did not help. Maybe level 3 will do the trick? I'll report back

Same here and has been mentioned in zone chat by others having the same problem. Level 3 made no difference.

Yeah just finished and the issue persists after the tute.

When pressed it causes an error sound, one that sounds similar to when trying to pick up an item with full inventory.

I have the same problem. Level 3 Altmer Templar. She only has one skill cause she did get the point for finishing the tutorial quest. But no level up rewards at all. It will make for some challenging leveling.

My tutorial finished fine, but FYI I am showing as level 3 while I cannot claim level 2 rewards.

As someone else said, the sound is like my inventory is full, and just before I leveled up, I went to the crown store and bought the two large furniture packages on a whim, so my inventory actually only had a few spaces left in it. I leveled up immediately after, and boom, inventory-full sound.

This, exactly. I tried logging out and back in and still wasn't able to claim the rewards. Was hoping that might be a workaround

Edit: my inventory was not full, even though that was the sound it was making
Edit #2: Can confirm that rewards can be claimed when you skip the tutorial (made another new toon)

In addition....

When I created the character in a slot from one of mine that I deleted, the character's inventory was full of 60 items from my storage chests in my house. I emptied my inventory and could pick up stuff but this could be related to why I can' t level.

When I went to my house afterwards, all my chests of items were empty. I think 60 got put on the new character and the rest vanished.

Finished the tutorial. Seemed kinda short and the same issue as morrowind tutorial.There are no skyshards so new players won't know about them again...

Now that you mention in...I had a load of Master writs in my inventory on my main, and yes, they were definitely from my housing chests.

This warrants it's own thread I think, especially if the overflow gets deleted.

As far as I can tell, overflow - a couple hundred items - got deleted.

As a control sample, I'll report no problems taking level 2 and level 3 rewards.

I have not put any storage chests in my homes as yet, not even on Live, and had ample inventory space on my copied alts and on my new character. Also, I did the tutorial on her, as I made her specifically to test it.

edit: Further addition, given that bugs can come from all sorts of crazy sources: I only have the 8 character slots the game provides, no extra ones bought, and I used my one empty slot to make the tutorial test character.

I don't have any storage chests. She had plenty of inventory space. I was able to delete trash items I'd picked up. I even received the item reward at the end of the tutorial. But I still couldn't claim the level up rewards.

Began a new character and completed the tutorial. As others have posted I'm unable to claim the attribute and skill points rewarded with each level. Also in light of that I'm not sure if the skill advisor is functioning or not.

I also deleted a character to make a new one and the new character had all the old characters inventory. Also could not claim level 2 or 3 rewards. So I logged out and played on one of my own low level characters and had no problems with him leveling up.

I have also encountered this bug (and reported it through the in-game feedback tool). Template-based characters have not had any issues. I'll try creating a new toon and touch absolutely nothing in settings, outfits, etc. until I level and see if that does anything different.

Second character created, this time with no settings modified or collectibles/personalities/costumes/etc. used until after the first level up was confirmed non-functional.

Still working through the Summerset tutorial. Completed a minor quest there and a tooltip (I think It was) stating something akin to "CP (?) available in one month". Unfortunately it just seemed informative so didn't submit a bug report.

I've been seeing that on logout, in regard to the daily log in rewards. Though I think it says "next reward < 1 m" and then says the content is locked, please try again later.

Update - it seems the "cant claim level 2 rewards" bug is either limited to level 2 rewards, or to newly created characters.

I had an old level 5 character left from morrowind testing, and playing it i could claim any new rewards(6+) without issues (leveled up to level 14).

It appears to only affect characters that participate in the tutorial. As someone else mentioned in this thread earlier, and as I just replicated with a new character, if you skip the tutorial you can claim level up rewards as per normal (though interestingly the "inventory full" sound still plays).

Yes. I kept on leveling my new (no tutorial) character that is now level 30something and that sound plays on every level-up reward claim.

I experienced a similar bug - when completing a DB contract, I could open the reward pouch, but couldn't take the items until I left the sanctuary or logged out & back in again.

I could claim my lvl2 reward, I started as fresh doing the mind trap.
