I am really enjoying this game. Its a beautiful attempt at getting everything that we love about elder scrolls into the game. The launch is by far the smoothest I have ever seen, and I look forward to playing this game for many many months.

Well for some of us it has been very smooth and I've had little issues other than a few random crashes.

Yes, for a new MMO launch this has been VERY smooth. I think back to the WOW (or even D3 which isn't even an MMO) launches, and this is absolutely flawless in comparison. Heck, WOW still has more issues on the live servers today after 9 and a half years than this game does now, on its 3rd day.

For the record, so far I have encountered *1* bugged quest (where the objective wouldn't spawn). Relogging twice fixed it. I know that is an issue, where some of the servers aren't spawning it correctly, and due to the megaserver you end up switching servers whenever you relog and that's what fixed it for me. But I'm sure that will be fixed. For comparison, WOW still does that today. A quest on an entire server will break. And unlike ESO, WOW doesn't have a megaserver, you are stuck on one server and if the quests breaks you have to wait for a realm restart.

I can speak to this as well. Wow was nearly UNPLAYABLE. No bugged quests to test out because you couldn't even move from the corpse of that one guy you managed to kill between all the rubber-banding assuming the servers were up. There are a handful of quests that have minor issues, and a few that have progress-stopping issues. Overall, it's a great experience so far and all the boo-birds will fly away eventually.

I think the op was speaking how they feel which as others have also said, and I agree with is the smoothest launch of a game I've ever seen

Some people will always have a problem on a game launch this size, that is a sad but unavoidable fact.

But compared to other mmo launches, for the vast majority of us, it has been a very smooth experience,

There are 29 members of my guild now from the EU,. every single one of them agrees it's the smoothest launch they have ever seen.

I know if you have a problem it sucks and it naturally gets you angry, I saw this thread as a break from all the rage threads to give Zenimax a well deserved thanks.

They are inundated with support requests at the moment, some serious, some not so serious but they are only human. I read about people raging they haven't had a response within a few hours. Most other companies will take 24 - 48 hrs at the earliest and that is for companies with established products, not a brand new one.

I know it's very very frustrating for those with problems, but the demanding of instant responses and the lack of patience, well while I feel for your problems, some of you need to get a grip. I've dealt with loads of companies over the years and so far ESO rates at the very top on how well they respond and listen to customers, so it does grate a little when people slag them off and call them the worst ever etc.

There are only a finite number of staff, most will be working on solving problems, a few will be just answering emails and logging support queries etc. Those few cant constantly interrupt the devs every 3 secs to get a proper answer to each query, especially as for most problems, there's no time frame for a fix, when they work out whats wrong, they will fix it. If they gave an estimated time, 1 sec over that time people would be ranting on here that they said xyz and calling them useless etc.

If I was Zenimax, I personally would give top priority to people who are polite and those that rant and rage on the forums would get put to the bottom of the pile.

Yeah. It was smooth up until it kept saying my login info was incorrect. So much for paying for early access.

Are you kidding? I preordered for the stuff, I think you can get over 5 days when you have a horse at level 1 for only 1 gold.

Beautiful game, and this launch has been smooth. I've seen so much improvement since all the betas over the past several months. The devs actually communicate with the players. Overall, very impressive.

I do think zenimax (and all other game companies) should word their early access better.

Most people are well aware that early access means you are the ones facing the main unforeseen launch problems. I bought the CE edition, I did not pay for early access, I see it as they gave me the early access as a thank you for pre-ordering

The normal edition costs the same if you buy it next week, the early access was not part of the cost or part of what you paid for. The collectors edition was £20 more because of all the other extras, not for the 5 days early access, otherwise zenimax wouldn't have also given the normal edition pre-orders it as well.

I have loved every minute of it. The crafting system, combat... sure there are bugs to be addressed, but I just move past it and keep enjoying the game. I feel bad for people who skip through the whole story and power level then complain that they are "bored."

Let them power level, they'll regret not finding those skyshards and getting some awesome skills. And they'll be mad when lowbies wipe them out with abilities that they couldn't afford by picking up those extra skill points.

I'm loving this game. I'm having so much fun questing and exploring. I've had very few issues, and I've made sure to /bug each one. For anyone having problems, it's important to let the devs know. Whining about bugs without reporting them is not productive =)

Launch has been pretty good for me... had the Motes bug and the Assassins bug but re-logging to find a a valid phase worked. That's about the only two things ...unless you count killing the Werewolf and not completing the quest and then killing the Werewolf over and over while helping your Fellow Gamers not die an exploit?

I'm not a Zenimax employee. I'm not going to give my name or my employer, but I will say that I work for a major healthcare organization.

I do work in IT but my employer has NOTHING to do with video games or entertainment at all in any form.

And I am definitely enjoying the game (although I can't play right now due to being at work). It is a refreshing change from WOW.

So someone has a different experience to you, and they must be a zenimax employee.

My username is easily enough to Google, I live in Gorleston near Gt Yarmouth in Norfolk, England. If I have problems I will say so as you can see if you decide to Google my name and see how many problems I had with Native Instruments for example.

I don't usually bother justifying myself to posters like you but I have a unique username that so far hasn't been used by anyone else, hence it's pretty easy to Google me. I was also banned from the Lotro official forum along with many others for speaking out about how I felt they were treating their customers and how I felt they had ruined the game

ESO is a breath of fresh air for me and I'm loving it. Don't forget it's been up just a few days, most players are happily playing, not posting on these forums.

It's only because I've been away from my PC a few times today that I've posted on here from my tablet and now I'm in bed on my tablet, else I too would be playing.

And I do sympathise with you and in all honestly if I couldn't get on to play, I too would be ranting on here and others would be telling me to take a deep breath.

Why is this even in the customer service section of the forums?, obviously the people browsing this section have issues with the game and are frustrated about it. Are you just showing off or are you actually trying to help people out?

Relax m8, that's just the normal type of reply to someone praising a game on ANY Publishers forum, I see it all the time on the Publishers forum I hang out on :)
