Born on Summerset

So after Summerset drops to Live, any new character created will be "born" there, and have the new tutorial. All well and good, BUT WHY? A new player will start out at the end of the Daedric war, then have to go back to the Planemeld and then the beginning of the war in Vvardenfell. I wish they would give us the option of doing the areas in the correct "story" sequence.

OK, I know that I can just wayshrine to say, Vulkhel Guard, then speak to the hooded character to start the real main quest, but a new player won't know that and will just be confused when they end up in Coldharbour to realise that the story is just beginning.

Am I just being picky, because even SWTOR, when you start a lvl 60 char, put you in the new content (Raven) or a lvl 70 char in (Eternal Throne) and all previous content is locked to that character. That's more or less what happens, but I accept that would not be viable for ZOS, so why not just return to creating characters in the Wailing Prison?

Having started one char in tam unlimited, another in Vvardenfel, why don't all stories start at the beginning and simply get early options if they wanna go elsewhere? Do we need 3 different Starts? Eh, maybe. Dunno.

It's super confusing for new players.

You'll do Summerset first, then go to Clockwork City where the Sotha Sil will tell you to go back to Summerset. Eventually you'll get to Orsinium, where the prophet will tell you to go back to the Clockwork City.

At the very least, they should suggest a playthrough order to new players.

I agree totally its confusing and he might be more confused then he talk to cp750 who has done all quests in game multiple times telling him the wrong thing because it has changed.
Grinding just make you go in circles.
Asking ZoS for nerfs is as stupid as asking for close air support from the death star.

I agree, it just makes sense for all new characters to start, you know at the start... in Coldharbour. Of course as soon as you leave coldharbour then you should be free to go to summerset, clockwork or wherever. But at least start in coldharbour so people have a sense of the main story

I forgot to mention that when you get to your faction starter city the first thing you will hear is "Do you know how long I've been looking for you?"

Seriously, give us a choice such as

    1. Start in Wailing Prison - This is the original story.
    2. Start in Vvardenfell - This is the start of the Daedric war.
    3. Start in Summerset - This is the continuation/end of the Daedric war.

Given that choice, it makes it very clear what you should be doing. They still would need to put Orsinium and Craglorn to when they should happen. Just move Stuga to Coldharbour (Appearing at the end of the questline, and the stargazer to Orsinium when you have completed the main questline.

    I think that would work.

I like that idea as I am not a fan of the original story with that annoying prophet.

I think that if its a new accounts first character it should start at the beginning. If its an accounts 2nd or higher character, let them start where they want.

That side, my last three new characters, a Warden, a Templar and a Sorc I've been using as a mule have done none of the story lines. My Nightblade that's been around awhile did Morrowind.

TBH..slogging through any of the existing story lines almost makes me feel physically ill. Not cause they are bad per se..but because I've done them all multiple times

I like that idea, then for subsequent characters instead of just the option to skip the tutorial, give also the option to start in any of the new chapters.
