Breath of Life (Rushed Ceremony morph): Reduced the healing done from this morph’s secondary heal by approximately 33%.
Now this is an interesting change.Healing Ritual: This ability and its morphs no longer have a cast time; they are now instant cast abilities that heal for the same amount. Their costs have been increased to 7290 Magicka from 3780 Magicka.
Solar Flare: This ability and the Dark Flare morph now grant the Empower buff instantly after being cast, instead of when the projectile hits the enemy target.
With the empower change, shouldn't they change solar barrage? No one in their right mind will take over a second to cast a skill to increase light attack damage for a few seconds. Now I could be wrong and someone might find a use for it with a stupid troll light attack build, but I guess we will have to see.
Piercing Spear: This passive ability now only affects Critical Damage, and does not affect Critical Healing.

- We NEED a skill to aid in Stamina recovery - a stamplar drains their stamina so easily that management on them has become an absolute nightmare to be short about it. Repentance just does not pull its weight because it relies on pulling from adds/trash and corpses and there are a lot of add-less fights now where this mechanic becomes null and void. Bar switching to bow and HA'ing for recovery is also a DPS killer.

Making it harder and harder to justify using BoL over healing ward. Maybe that's the intent. Now this is an interesting change.Healing Ritual: This ability and its morphs no longer have a cast time; they are now instant cast abilities that heal for the same amount. Meh, Dark Flare only really worked as a spammable when it was empowering subsequent casts. Somewhat sad this ability didn't get a little buff to compensate for the empower loss, as it (along with meteor and wrecking blow) were the abilities that were essentially balanced around high empower %.
Overall, some interesting stuff to test.

Aedric Spear
Burning Light: Increased the damage done by this passive ability by approximately 9%.
This helps a bit but jabs and sweeps are already low on the DPS end
Piercing Spear: This passive ability now only affects Critical Damage, and does not affect Critical Healing.
This is a nerf to both magicka and stamina templars (You do know stamplars still exist; right?
Puncturing Sweep (Puncturing Strikes morph): Increased the healing done by this morph to 40% of the damage done from 35%.
Makes up only slightly to the previous line for magplars so it really does not make much headway from the previous loss of major mending when its coming with another healing nerf. Again; stamplars not even considered
Dawn’s Wrath
Solar Disturbance (Nova morph): This morph now increases the duration of the Major Maim debuff it applies to 4 seconds.
K. Not groundbreaking. We have other ultimates that could use attention. At least this one is already used in PvE. Speaking of stamplar; we have a poor mans version of DBOS. Could we at least get its range increase slightly to land it on our target?
Solar Flare: This ability and the Dark Flare morph now grant the Empower buff instantly after being cast, instead of when the projectile hits the enemy target.
Still think solar barrage would be nice as an instant, especially now. Could at least boost our light attacks in weaves since its usually delayed between channels to begin with. Would actually synergize well IMO to have the first tick go instantly>LA>sweep while 2nd tick goes off>LA>Sweep while 3rd tick goes off, etc. Would create a DPS boost for magplar sweep weaving. Wouldn't do much for stamplar again however. Suppose they could use it the same way, but magicka cost is already strapping them with the increased cost of extended ritual recently and the fact that our defense (rune focus and morphs) have to be recast every 8 seconds (can we please have that stick?)
Enduring Rays: This passive ability now increases the duration of your Sun Fire, Eclipse, and Nova abilities by 2 seconds, instead of 15/30%. It now also increases the duration of the debuffs applied by Solar Flare and its morphs.
Developer Comments:
This eliminates the extra fractional duration from some damage over time abilities that weren’t actually getting extra damage. It also gives short abilities like Solar Barrage an additional tick.
See previous note. Not a bad little buff but it there could be so much more in QOL and synergy.
Restoring Light
Breath of Life (Rushed Ceremony morph): Reduced the healing done from this morph’s secondary heal by approximately 33%.
I'm starting to wonder, why even have the secondary heal at this point? Why not just make this the burst heal that can hit the lowest health group member and have Honor the Dead become a dedicated self heal? The secondary heal here is so small that its nearly pointless
Hasty Prayer (Healing Ritual morph): This morph now grants Minor Expedition to you and your allies for 5 seconds.
Healing Ritual: This ability and its morphs no longer have a cast time; they are now instant cast abilities that heal for the same amount. Their costs have been increased to 7290 Magicka from 3780 Magicka.
I think this is going to become the defacto group burst heal and I will say at least it might get some use. Bit expensive but it should be. It just reinforces to me that the secondary heal on BOL is obsolete.
Honor the Dead (Rushed Ceremony morph): This morph now refunds part of the ability’s cost over 6 seconds, down from 8 seconds.
I love this. Thank you
Now more on Stamplar.
Its not a horrible place but it lacks resource management of other classes and it has not been compensated for the loss of major mending and now the loss of crit heals. One thing you could do to alleviate both is allow Rune Focus and morphs to stick to the templar. Not having to recast it will help stamplars manage their magicka pool a little better and having Restoring Focus up time better maintained will help some of the healing loss. Now this will also help magplar as well and I think that is fine since you are giving added sweep heals to make up for the major mending loss a year ago yet once again nerfing heals now: but Stamplar needs just a little more in having repentance not be limited to one corpse for everybody but rather the templar can only use a corpse once for themselves even if another Templar already has so we are not competing with other templars.
Just my initial thoughts.

Love these! Also to mention stamplars do get 16% healing bonuses from restoring rune, whereas magplars are generally going to grab channeled focus to help their sustain. So it becomes 8% versus 16%, with magplar requiring to be in execute range to gain another 10-12% healing boosts. I agree the runes should be self buffs so the duration extends to 18s instead of 8s.
I agree repentance should be changed. But idk how, given that hasty prayer is now an AOE heal, repentance is also an AOE heal but based off bodies. Feels like their swapped redundancies from hasty prayer/BOL to Hasty prayer/repentance. And to boot, the other morph has no function with ele drain/spell siphon giving the same generic debuff.
I think templars still need a rework, and without such they will also be stuck behind old abilities/passives.

Yeah. I keep trying to save repentance as it was for some reason. Maybe its time for a stamina steal.
Does anyone know, if the 33% heal nerf of breath of life really applies to all 2 secondary targets or only the 3rd target ? As I understand it, this spell always heals 2 targets and only breath of life heals a 3rd and this heal was nerfed by 33%. Shouldn't the 2nd target still take the same heal as before ?

It's been a while since BoL healed more than 2 targets. There is only one secondary target it heals, and it is being cut by 1/3.
The base morph and HTD heal only one target per cast, while BoL heals an additional target for a reduced amount.
