Questproblems, how to solve nearly every problem.

I will also post it here because in the underforum PVE/Daggerfall i dont think i will reach that much people.

So im lvl 13 now and had 4 quests where i had some problems.

I could solve all the problems with an easy trick.

90 % of the questproblems are missing items/npc or not reachable items.

That happens (mostly) when to many players are in the region and they server cant handle them right now.

1. To resolve the problem just log off but dont log in right away, wait 30 seconds, it can happen that you have to repeat that 2-3 times but it works.

But why wait 30 seconds? Because we play in different instances, that means just because the quest is broken right now in instance 1 doesnt mean its broken in instance 2 or 3. So the 30 second are there that your char is really logged of from the server and so its possible that they will put you in a different instance.

2. But there 're other things that you should consider, never log off directly on the spawning point of npc or items, that can lead also to questproblems.

3. Also rushing dialog options, can lead to not updating queststatus, to solve that let the npc atleast finish 2 words befor your skip to the next.

With this 3 little rules i could finish every quest till now.

    most quest problems are down to too many players attempting same quest, simply return later, all bugged quests i had were completable by wandering off and coming back when the mad rush had gone by.

    Most "bugged" quest are Nature's way of saying humankind should be culled a bit....

    Yeah that can help, but there are times after fighting throw a dungeon, that you would like to finish that quest, because you dont want to go throw that dungeon again :P

    I tried this fix with "Wolves In the Fold" where the amulet of Hircine wasn't revealing the hidden werewolves and it worked like a charm. I don't know if I was just lucky, but I'm somewhat reassured that something *can* be done.

    Nice info. Well worth a try but for me all my problems (of which there are very few thus far) have been sorted by leaving quest and moving in to return later and complete it successfully.

    Have you finished Ghosts of Westry? Its the only one I cannot finish using log off and on.

    Yeah, I was having trouble finishing quests in Betnikh(Daggerfall), but logging out and logging in helped me finish them. On Proving Your Worth the 1st instance I was in-all of the dueling NPCs were bugged. Then when I switched to a different instance 1 of the duels was working. Then I just kept switching instances until I could I eventually get my 3 duels.

    Maybe mention too that u have to STAY BACK if u want enemies to spawn. In the necromacer/zombie area I just waited quietly hiding behind a tomb waiting for a necromancer to spawn so I could get my orbs. I gave the spawn area plenty of space. Really, I think the key was staying away from the crowds who were standing over or too near spawning areas.

    Yes, but i think i was lucky on that quest, since many have problem with that one.
