I don´t spend even a tiny portion of what I´d usually like to spend because of excessive pricing.

Just like every purchase I make. It’s my money and I get to choose how I spend it.

Right now ESO provides me plenty of entertainment value. So Zenimax gets my money.

All these folks stating they will “be going to another game...blah blah,” but they can’t seem to find the better game that suits them. Most likely their utopia cheap game doesn’t exist. And if they do, they’ll complain about pricing, costs, etc. So they lurk here instead.

You get what you pay for. I’m satisfied with ZOS’s product and thus here I am choosing to spend my money.

I don't see any problem in the pricing of mounts considering you can spend lots more for the crown crates and not get a mount. For me I pay a sub and if I want more crowns I buy them when needed. I spend more on beer in a week than I do ESO in a month. After all Zeni have a lot of overheads to pay to keep the game running.

I don’t understand why these threads keep popping up? Why does anyone care what someone else spends their money on in-game if it’s not P2W?

Why do these threads keep popping up? Well this is a forum. People like to show Zenimax their displeasure in how they operate. I don't begrudge anyone on how they spend their money. After all people can begrudge me on how I spend my money.

For me it's how I feel. Zenimax makes me feel like a shlub for buying their stuff. It's almost like they are mocking me. I know it's hard to describe. All I can say is I have been through this with another company. Thing is that company publicly said things that they mock their customers and basically take them for granted.

While Zenimax hasn't said anything like this, their actions are exactly what this other company has done and it feels like I am being taken of advantage. Doesn't matter if I am or not. When customers feel like they are taken for granted or mean very little to them especially what you can say "loyal" customers people get upset.

As for the comments better to over pay cosmetic non P2W items and keeping everything cheaper, then how come Zenimax doesn't say this? This I could understand. This I could respect. What I can't respect is the silence that Zenimax does and their actions speak volumes for themselves. So if they don't say something then their actions do it.

For some or many, or maybe just me, their silence speaks volumes (just another cooperate uncaring company or cooperation) and their actions show that they can be scummy at times.

So until Zenimax actually says something people who are displeased and still passionate about ESO will keep saying and talking about it and threads will still continue.

Not my quote but I love this saying

"I would pay It for support. But since they choosed we are just numbers and not customers, i dont mind if game and zos goes to oblivion"

I don't believe I or anyone else is begrudging you on how you spend your money. So not sure the point of that. Have I said something that I am not aware of?

Fully agree. Any company that can give me entertainment value will get my money. Heck like I said about Games Workshop, I know it costs 50 cents to make but we have to pay $50 to buy. For me it's worth it because the value is there. I have bought a few expensive things from Zenimax that are expensive because I find value in it. Maybe I haven't explained myself properly. For that I apologize.

For me I feel like a smuch or I am a sucker lately when ever Zenimax wants to sell something. It's more of how Zenimax is acting. How the seem or the perception they treat their customers. Customers shouldn't feel bad or feel in a negative way when taking Zenimax "services". Hope this makes better sense.
All these folks stating they will “be going to another game...blah blah,” but they can’t seem to find the better game that suits them. Most likely their utopia cheap game doesn’t exist. And if they do, they’ll complain about pricing, costs, etc. So they lurk here instead.

I believe you are wrong here. For one, we are passionate about ESO otherwise we would have moved on and not care. Two pretty bad we are lurking here instead of playing their game. Three it seems I am not alone. Others have said as well as I did, we have spent money on other games that would have gone to Zenimax.

This is not about finding a better game. This is about why our money hasn't gone to Zenimax and other companies.

I wouldn’t mind the cosmetic store so much if there were more things in the game to earn.

Even if they showed up in the store first but later found themselves into the game to be earned. But they aren’t. They are left limited time sales loops.

Grinding Gear Games, they patch bugs almost immediately after they're reported and add free content on a regular basis supported by truly optional microtransactions.

I bought a new phone, food, probably gonna upgrade my rig. I enjoy some things that end up in the crown store but there’s hardly ever any must-haves

Wow! You own 3,381 games and 1,276 DLCs? Did you actually complete all of them? How long did that take?

I still need to play most, looks like I need to discover immortality. About 25 years, about 14 for steam, then there are the before steam games 1993-2004.

Not to mention the games on gog, origin, uplay.

My crown budget depends entirely on subbing, so they don't have a separate real world cost. If I have the crowns and want something enough, I'll buy it, keeping in mind that wanting something enough means that I'm willing to forego other opportunities to get it. I can't imagine wanting a mount enough to pay $40 for it, but it doesn't anger me that ZOS charges that much. I just don't buy it.

The only one of my characters that doesn't ride the Imperial Horse is my dunmer who rides a guar that came from a crate I got for logging in during an event. Apparantly, I'm easily satisfied. :)

It was above my price but I don't complain when it's not in a crown crate . Direct purchase is best and even at half price that's too much for me but I have no issue with those that can buy it . Choose my battles and stay against crown crates .

I am curious if I am alone or not. I am not liking the practices that Zenimax is doing. For example on Friday the 13th they put out the special horse. (forgot the name sorry.) That is not what upset me because it was to have fun and get in the mood. What upset me is the price. $40 Canadian? That is what half the cost of the game. So is Zenimax telling me it takes that much work and effort to make that horse? I mean it takes more hours to make the actual game, more people. So shouldn't the main game be like $1000 then?

Yes I understand, it's a business and a product will bear what the customers will bear. But this just upset me for some reason. So here I am about to buy crowns to get quite a few stuff. Thing is, seeing how Zenimax likes to price these things, a $40 which really shouldn't be more than $5 but find $20 acceptable, is that I took my money and bought a full fledged game. After all if I am getting so little for my money I may as well get something is about the same price or even double and get like 1000X more in content and work hours for it.

So anyone else out there like me. You like/love/passionate about ESO but don't spend money on it because of Zenimax practices? If so, I am curious how much money Zenimax is loosing because of their practices. Yes I know you can't loose what you don't have, but then again, companies can make a profit of 10 million one year and the next year make 8 million in profit and say they lost 2 million dollars.

So how much is Zenimax not getting from you? I

Honestly they lose nothing. If people want it they buy it. I doubt they have to spend less than 1% of what they pull in on items creating said item.

And to those that might say 'i buy my codes from third partys' it still goes to ZoS ;)
