I had high hopes for this game, after all trailers I seen and after all hours I spent playong Dragonborn. But after just a couple of hours playing, they have vanished. Dragonborn had it's faults, but compared to Elder Scrolls it is lightyears better.

The graphics in Dragonborn felt more realistic then here, where they just feel polished and not so well done. What also makes this disappointing is several things. The combat I have done so far has felt like playing a Childrens game, where Dragonborn felt and looked better. And this is just 2 of all things that makes me leave this game, and I doubt it can be the same success as Dragonborn was.

Why couldn't you develop that game with it's gritty, realistic feeling into a mmo instead of this messy, complicated game which overall feels not as a follow up but a Childrens version of Skyrim?

And why isn't there a category for general discussions, where players can post their opinions of the game?

You do realize they had to make the graphics as they did because not everyone has a great computer. So they had to make the game workable for a wider group of people.

The fact that they had no choice but to "scale down" the graphics for an MMO means any comparison to Skyrim graphics is invalid.

Stop wishing this game is Skyrim Online or something. The way you view the game is the problem, not the game itself.

And please, don't tell me you were serious in thinking the trailers reflect the graphic quality of this game.

Seriously, if your complaining about the graphics in this game you need to take a good hard look at your video card, settings, and your monitor....and maybe your glasses:)

The graphics could have been better , but then they'll have to scale down the large PvP battles in Cyrodiil .

There's a wonderful video from a player on youtube that explains this issue in detail. I'll leave a link, but it might be deleted (I'm not sure what the rules are in this forum about linking to outside sources). In case it is deleted, go to youtube and search "MrRhexx Elder Scrolls Online: Why are the graphics "bad" " It's very enlightening for people who think ESO's very good graphics are bad compared to Skyrim. I think ESO looks more like Oblivion, myself. What's so wrong with that?

Wow, that op post made me cringe reaaaaaaaally hard...

    1. Calling Skyrim "Dragonborn"? wtf man?
    2. Comparing a SINGLE PLAYER game to an MMO in terms of graphics?
    3. Messy and complicated? You pretty much do the same in Skyrim, aka do quests, kill some stuff and loot everything...

If you want the Skyrim "experience" well wait for TES 6 instead or go back to TES V like all other ppl who dont like the MMO genre.

Let me just say that all the people who say the graphics are not the best, make sure subsampling is on high else the game looks like Dooms ugly cousin!

Why is this posted in the support forum? /boggle

As for the video, he gets some of it right, but when he talks about distance and zone wide updates he's wrong. No MMO is going to process any graphical updates for PCs/NPCs outside of the players local area. Only thing people will get will be special updates like world events etc... And that's ignoring the networking issues zone wide updates would cause.
