Wow, so many people who have apparently never played an MMO before.... this is par for the course for most companies that ever release expansions.

Heck it is for most normal games too. Skyrim was 60 dollars or something at launch (as are many AA games), now you can get for very cheap. That's because it has been out for a while. How do people not understand this concept?

Actually most stores have a 30 days price guarantee. If it goes on sale within that time they will refund you the difference. Even online retailers do this now. It's good business practice.

No, it's not. Just because people want everything for free and hate to pay anything (see US citizens refusing to pay for health care), it can not be fair to ask for a discount on every opportunity.

Companies like Amazon created this myth, however the sellers need to endure every stupid customer complaint, no matter whose fault it is. That's organized crime, if you ask me. Do whatever the customer wants now and for free or get excluded from the market. You pay for what you get at the time you order it. This should be enough. My opinion.

In UK consumer law a buyer can challenge a sales practice if he or she buys due to a misleading or aggressive pricing strategy. The reason is this is this happened a lot and probably still does so the law protects the consumer. Also ToS conditions can be void if considered unfair even if a person signs. Retailers have come afoul by falsely increasing prices to reduce them. People have been caught out buying goods thinking it was for one price to find the price has been put back up too conveniently. When they think they have missed the sale they buy but the price goes back down soon after again. Misleading customers and unfair practice is something to pay attention too.

Amazon , Argos and other companies in the UK will recompense within a certain time because people have shown concern.

I bought morrowind when I came back about a month ago. Then learn that its included with sommerset. Yeah, I was a little upset but I had JUST bought morrowind. I mean, I'm not happy about it, but whatevs. This is my hobby, one I'm picking back up after a long absence.

Now, if whatever comes after sommerset includes morrowind and sommerset...then we may have an issue

I'm not buying Summerset at the price they want now for sure. I've already bought 4 dlc and morrowind. When subbing I have still all the other content to get in to. Let other subbers pay the full whack for this.

I just bought Morrowind about 3 or 4 months ago after it being out, I believe only 8 months previous. I had know idea they would make it free so soon after. Had I, I wouldn't have bought it. People keep posting analogies that are not similar at all.

When it comes to MMORPG ideals and games. a subscription will always be superior.

players who play any game like this raw, will always be taking a row boat toe to toe with a battle ship.

Il earn more exp, more gold, faster everything, more access, more ability...

oh wait no I wont. servers are as reliable as a USSR nuclear reactor alert system

Incorporating the old expansion into the newer one is a very common MMO thing.. Think of it this way, the people who wait for the older expansion to be added to the new one have to wait to play that for a year. It's old content..

it is, but usually not that quickly

The nature of MMO's is to include all previous expansions in the base when the next expansion comes out.
So more then likely sommerset will eventually be rolled into the base when the next new chapter comes out.

can you please list those and show how old the expansions were.

i cant recall many mmos that did this, at least not ones were expansions were years old.

    Dear.. [next disgruntled player]

In the boardroom, where they are talking about millions, weighed against your "woe is me", there are literally 1000s of happy, content players.

That is not always true in my experience. I have had quite a few conversations with board members of the companies I have worked at over the years about why the people who are not buying our products are not buying them. It's usually pretty obvious why the people who do buy our products buy them. It's far less obvious, and arguably more important, why people who don't, don't. I think that good boards engage with these sorts of discussions more than bad boards.

people also dont understand the concept of goodwill and reputation. While it may not affect the current game, people will remember and not buy in to their next game.

    it happens all the time.

... my free crowns from the ESO Plus ...

The crowns are not free. You pay $15 a month to get them.

I pay for $15 worth of crowns and get the sub for free.

I have had this game from the start and subbed for a long time then I gave in when I had so many problems with it crashing and losing connection and left for a year and a half. Its the first MMO I have actually returned to after being away so long. I still have had much crashing and disconnection but most recently it has been less frequent.

As I have invested a lot of time in three characters I had bough dlc with my free crowns from the ESO Plus so I was happy for a while to just play free, especially as even then I was crashing a lot. I changed settings very recently and rarely crash in relation to my machines low specs but I'm still disconnecting occasionally too and followed instructions related to that to no avail.. I persevere though and because I needed lots of crafting bag space I opted for ESO Plus for all the benefits. However, on top of the of the crashing, I have this very problematic nuisance of servers down and I am annoyed that not long after buying Morrowind, only interested in the zone though I appreciate the mount. I now find i would have got it free had i waited. Im pretty pissed off.

I just thought you should know ZOS because there will be a lot of people with game issues which may not be the games fault but its compounded with all the rest of the recent developments. I know Im not happy and thinking of with drawing my sub. Eventually I may devote myself to a new game.

Why are you mad at DLC content that wasn't included in your ESO+ membership originally now being included? [snip] it will add more population to a generally dead zone you probably haven't gone into in months. I'm more upset that BGs will be even more open to people that have no idea how to pvp

    [Edited for baiting.]

    [Snip]

Because it was not a DLC it was a chapter that couldn’t be bought with crowns it had to be bought with other means.
