Coming to these forums I must admit is some serious entertainment while at work.
Between people crying about an old Xpac/chapter being discounted, how ESO is P2W or wanting their $0.50 back because of downtime I have to say as a new player the "forum community is pretty toxic. I thought the swtor forums were fun but so far in my short time here the crying going on here is giving swtor a run for their money.
Keep it up haha it helps the work day.
On a side note because of all the crying over Morrowind being added to the sub and how Summerset is P2W I went ahead and preordered.
Thanks to all the complainers because of your threads I got alot of good info from all the non complainers correcting you.
*Disclaimer * yes my account was created during the Xbox beta period. I recently just started playing non beta eso on the xbox.
I would argue that. ZOS has stepped up the last year (and I really appreciate it) but they're still not the top in terms of communication.mnwild1998 wrote: »I've played mmos for a long time. Look at it this way. The devs and people like gina give so much more information than any other mmo team, it creates the whiny type of forums. but really its because the eso team is awesome
I've yet to see anyone do better than CCP who have their devs actively discuss and debate mechanics changes with players on forums and twitter.
Although the difference there is CCP has a much smaller player base and is owns itself, meaning they make their own rules and are less slaves to marketing and corporate culture.

Oh I didn't mention the destiny forums because they are in a league of their own. No game I have ever been a part of is even close to them. I can't believe they have allowed their forums to get that way.

Toxic doesn't mean anything you want it to.
People complaining is not toxic until.
Toxic means being a ***, like: being a scammer, being someone who offends people for no reason at all other then just to get a giggle out of it, things like that.
That's fair maybe "toxic" wasn't the correct word. At the same time when a few spam doom and gloom about p2w (which its not) or an old xpac is discounted (which is normal) it can cause a toxic environment.

Leveling in 100x better and for a new player that's a good thing.

Despite that i find it hilarous that even if you were in fact a new player you'd start with a thread elevating yourself above others right of the bat...
I am also new player and from SWTOR, I find ESO forums also more fun, I actually like how they moderating forums, you dont see that kind of mod stuff in swtor forums, but also traffic here is way higher than swtor. But devs beening more active is huge + for me...And what come to toxic, I dont find ESO forums very toxic, trolls and whiners are everywhere,

the current Destiny forums are nothing compared to what they were like a few months ago. Of course, the current game is nothing like what the original was either. I keep checking in every now and then but I have lost hope for that game ever becoming what it could have been.
This forum is a ray of sunshine compared to the Destiny forums.....but then this game is miles ahead of Destiny2 also
