Anyone remember the longest maintenance ever?

Yes at release it was down for days...

    Hey guys,

Not raging about it or anything. But is this normal? i just got back on this game after leaving about 6 months into vanilla, and its been down half the time I've been back. I live in Aus so that is evenings when I get to play. Went down at 5pm today and its now 10:42pm still down. Seems to have been down about 5 times, I also subbed to ESO plus, was this a mistake? Just want to make sure its worth me paying and that its not going to be down half the nights of the month I'm subscribed to haha.

Its why at release i unsubbed and moved on, funnily i just returned as well and well nothing seems to have changed its still not worth subbing for tbh.. When every afternoon and night you can't even play why on earth would you pay money..

I had a four year break and very little maintenance and server wise seems to have changed.. Aussie here too..

Yeah I got sick of the lack of Oceanic servers after launch, I was playing on ADSL2 on console, and it was a combination of horrific pink/fps. I came back on a PC which runs at max fps on ultra feeling good but my pings still over 300 with 100mbps net. 1 night a week maintenance considering its our prime time is OK, but literally half of the time I've been back during my play hours its been down haha. From reading round seems its related to this event. After 4 years do they not test before implementing stuff? Just curious.... Seems to have same issues all over again.

No, they've had a bunch of unexpected issues that have all cropped up this week. It's not representative, and normally maintenance is limited to once a week.

ESO+ is never a mistake, and the vast majority of people who subscribe to it consider it to be well worth the outlay.

Thanks for the reply. Yeah it seems like it comes with sufficient goodies. I'm not even level 50 yet but don't know how anyone would get by without the crafting bag. Seems like i just joined at a really bad time for it to be down 50% of the days i log in to play it haha.

To be fair, back at launch it was scheduled twice a week every week, and if I recall correctly, I think the 2nd was a Friday night for us (before getting shifted to Thursdays).

At least now it's usually a Monday (US public holidays are the exception), and not even every week. The NA server timeslot itself won't really shift though because of population (to try and avoid the EU and NA prime time).

Hm look at Ginas Description, Database maintenance, no Patchnotes, nothing to download. Could be they get rid of Bots or they check that no third Party had or has acess to our personal Date( see Facebook), whatsoever the reason, maybe we will know, maybe not but, when they extend the Event for all, and only EU had massive Problems, they know they do a proper checkup today and if it needs a wee bit longer but things are actually fixed i dont care. Bottomline. I wanna play :)

I'm in New Zealand and today I got booted from the game and could not log in for a full 15 minutes, I think its related to what they are trying to fix I could be wrong. I would appreciate some kind of eta or response now as well since it has been six hours of waiting.

I feel so unlucky, every time I got home from work the game was either having problems and servers were down, or was on maintenance, today is my day off and the game is down, again. Hopefully at least tomorrow won't be the same, since I get these 2 days off each week. But oh well, I'm just gonna go enjoy something else and if this keeps happening very sadly I'll quit this game even though I feel it's one of the best MMO's I've played (being an elder scrolls world as well), will look for another MMO or just complete some of my steam games lol. The big thing here is, having an eso plus membership and not being able to play the game while I have it, it has interrupted 2 to 3 days of eso + gameplay time, even though the membership isn't expensive, still feels kinda bad.

Yup, sit tight and wait for them to sort all that stuff out....it'll all be better soon.

And yeah, God bless the crafting bag. ESO+ would be worth it just for that alone B)

Ah, thanks for the heads-up! Sadly I have only about 90 mins left of my day that I'd have time to play.. Oh well, I might get a bit of playing in still - log in my crafters at least... :P

To cool everyone off and get people ready. 1 hour - 2/3 hours in company time.

Generally this game has been fair for me for a whole year of patch/server crash restarting downtime. So not too worried.

They just probably deleted all our motifs we got during the event from the database. This will keep motiff sales on the crown store up making more money. Now some Lone Database Hero is out there against the evil corporation try to rig a backup plan to save all of us. The Lone Database Hero roams the office savaging for supplies to aid in his journey. A red stapler weapon? Pocket Protector armor? Mountain Dew to restore thirst meter? Let us hope he find them, as he is our only hope.
