They've extended the event for those entitled peeps with FOMO and are clearly experiencing technical difficulties. Considering we are talking a game, that we pay peanuts for in terms of support budget they are doing ok.

It's not about opening your eyes etc etc or blowing smoke its about perspective.

    loool
in how many mmo's has 4 years old unsolved bugs ? invisible players in group, player stuck in wall, failed to join the group, decline bug when everybody press accept in premade groups u want more ? there are tons of them which one are not and will not be fix by ZoS.....
and with many more bugs coming soon with Summerset chapter

SWTOR. Infact they introduce new set of bugs with every patch, I am new to eso, so dono, but you described SWTOR

    LOL. :D

So you are cool with 5 maintenances in 2 weeks as long as you get some fancy festival rewards? At which point would you say something like „hm, maybe these technical difficulties and interruptions are a bit much“?

Said that a maint or two back but I also understand that stuff happens. I gumbled a bit but accept that there will be bumpy times and whilst I can't do anything to stop this sort of thing happening, I absolutely can choose how to react and getting pissed off doesn't help.

    YMMV

Sure it doesn’t help to be angry about not being able to use the product I payed for. But there is absolutely no reason to praise ZOS or to ignore the issues.
These issues are ongoing for too long. I don’t want any compensations. I want that this game works.

So do we all. ZOS hasn't ignored the issues. If they had ignored them, we wouldn't've had all these maints. Also, with their decision to extend the event I think it's reasonable to thank them for doing something that they didn't need to. A day per extra maint. would've been reasonable. An entire week? Yeah, I'm gonna say thanks to encourage them doing such in future.

i'm not against a necessary maintenance, but if you really think ZOS is listening and Gina is doing a good job in communicating with us, you really had some very bad costumer experiences in your life.

if they was good they didn't had this issue... after each maintenance they broke something and u say they are doing great job....fin for me if u think that they are doing great job....
as i have said there is no other mmo which one has so many technical issues like ESO !

OMG I've played a lot of games and ESO is really awesome - graphics, quests, voice acting, housing, crafting.. all that and so much more makes this game tops as far as I'm concerned, I might go out and play other stuff but I always come back here.

Sometimes stuff happens and one has to deal with it, far as I've seen ZOS deals with it all very professionally and fairly. I'm fairly certain they don't want the servers down one minute longer than they have to be, and they try their best to make all us whiney babies happy by giving us some extra event time - so get over it all ready, sheesh!

I don't care about the event, but why don't they extend my ESO+ subscription by a week, like they did for the event?

Where did I say they were doing a great job? Don't put words in my mouth. For the record, I think they're doing pretty good all things considered and compared to all the other MMOs I've played the past 20 years.

As for the rest, this is a complex program, stuff happens. Sometimes not even their own fault as happened this week (one of the big downtimes). Have you played EQ? Offline for days. How 'bout WoW which had incredible issues for a time and the dreaded login queues (as effective at keeping you out of game as a maint.)

Or the lovely login queues (do those still exist or have folks spread out enough?) most days and ALWAYS after a patch update. Talk about pissed off people...yikes.

You think this was bad. Wait until Summerset is released. Just look back at ZOS's history with new expansions or major updates and the problems they caused. In the last major uipdate, PTS players reported numerous bugs yet ZOS released it anyways and we had a nightmare on our hands with weapon swap issues long load screens etc etc etc.

I didn’t ment to say that ZOS ignores it. The „no reason to ignore it“ was in reference to SidneyGrey‘s comment that people complain while the event was extended.

I am happy with the extra week but I do think Vahrokh has a point.

I am not saying add time for every minute of unscheduled maintenance there is.

But how about every 24 hour period cumulative throughout a month adds a day to ESO +. We are paying for a service afterall.

To those that say it is only X amount. Lets put the shoe on the other foot, if the company was not paid for a few days they would be chasing you for payments or suspending your account for none payment.

This has been done in the past with other MMOs I have played so it is nothing new or ground breaking.

It is just good customer service which breeds loyalty. Something ALL MMOs gaming companies seem to have forgotten about.

And before anybody has a go at me for having a go at people please notice I never mention any names in my posts.

I have worked in customer service roles all my life and one can only work with the tools one has at their hands.

So, as I have stated before, all the admins and ambassadors here on these forums are only working as directed.

Kudos to them for doing their job it cannot be easy.

So thanks for the extra week Zeni.

But in future please remember the guys that support your game by paying for ESO+ and for each cumulative day lost during a month add a day to our account.

Live a little love a lot send all your gold to this Imperials pot.

From what I've read in other MMOs in the past, the accountants HATE this approach. Not sure why as I'm definitely not an accountant.

Having done basic accounting think it has to do with you are giving away something for no cash that still needs to be accounted for so it can really screw the figures up when working out profit and loss percentages.

Wow! The amount of people that completely misunderstood my point of view! No wonder this community can be toxic at times! Did you all just read the first few lines?

I'll repeat myself again. I'm in no shape or form a fanboy of ZOS. Server outages affect me too when I try and plan my gaming time around work and excluding Mondays, so it is really irritating to see it done 3 days in a row.

my point was and is that we made complaints about the game perfmoring extremely poor or not being able to log in at all - Gina gathered the feedback, passed it on, someone made a decision servers need to go down to fix things. Then there was a power outage, then more things out of ZOS Control and Gina kept the feedback going between us and whoever is responsible for the servers.

I am happy they are doing their best to fix it now and not wait till next week. I'd rather play the game than get annoyed I can't log in or getting stuck on loading the character

And all the personal attacks on me for voicing a positive opinion instead of a toxic one? Wow....just wow.

Well tbh the servers being down for 6 hours now just seems totally out of order and borderline incompetence.
