We have another maintenance. 3rd one this week and I am for one happy to see it. Last patch has broken something, which happens with technology. Lots of people were unable o log in, getting stuck on character load, having poor performance, lag in cyrodiil, ping spikes etc etc. And lots of those people have made their feelings known on the fortums. So what does ZOS do? They get on it! They take servers offline to investigate the problem and fix it. How do you test if it's been fixed? Well you have to get the servers back online and let let's say half a million players test it. Still broken? ZOS is listening to your feedback and has tried to fix it again and again with the enormous player base testing it in between. Would you call that bad customer service? No. It's the complete opposite.
ZOS is listening to your feedback and Gina is doing an amazing job of commicating with us. All those people working on fixing the issue? They are real people too and you're saying some really hurtful stuff.
I for one welcome as many maintenances as it takes. Imagine they just left it till next Monday? So many players are having problems just accessing the game right now. Imagine how bad it would get over the weekend?! Would you rather wait on loading screen till next Monday or have a few hours of downtime, so that you can play all weekend at prime time?
Here here!
They've extended the event for those entitled peeps with FOMO and are clearly experiencing technical difficulties. Considering we are talking a game, that we pay peanuts for in terms of support budget they are doing ok.
It's not about opening your eyes etc etc or blowing smoke its about perspective.

Some people can have their arse kicked multiple times and still love their persecutor. It is called Stockholm Syndrome. Or fanboy syndrome?

People still jump on this thread to complain.

Or simply patience.

So you are cool with 5 maintenances in 2 weeks as long as you get some fancy festival rewards? At which point would you say something like „hm, maybe these technical difficulties and interruptions are a bit much“?

Yes when you have nothing to do during the day you can have a lot of patience. But when you have a job with limited hours to play, and exspecially in the morning, your patience becomes anger. We have at least one morning a week that you can't play (cause muricans have the right to play always so they do maintenance during murican night time), plus you throw out a patch without testing it (or bad testing it) and have a downtime 5 times in 2 weeks?? Major games have european maintenance and american maintenance. Smart thing.

Said that a maint or two back but I also understand that stuff happens. I gumbled a bit but accept that there will be bumpy times and whilst I can't do anything to stop this sort of thing happening, I absolutely can choose how to react and getting pissed off doesn't help.
YMMV
