FRAUD GOLD SELLERS! HACK YOUR ACCOUNT! MUST READ!!!!

VirulentPumpkin
They send out a bunch of messages and spam chat. People think they are gold sellers, but when you go to the website and try to sign up they get your email and password then they hope its the same password to your email, and if it is they get into it, then they get into your ESO account then get the bot spammers to keep doing it! Zeni please do something! I don't want people thinking this is a bad game! I have high hopes for this game! Thank you

Calm down! Only an idiot gives a third-party the login/password to the game.

RMT exist in all MMOs, very few publishers totally contain them (Turbine with LOTRO do a very good job and most players never see them, SE with FFXIV have totally failed and everyone is plagued with them).

Whether or not Zenimax are more like Turbine or Square Enix only time will tell.

So far I'm not impressed, I see no one-button "Report Spam" feature like WOW has, which not only reports the spammer but /ignores them too, but maybe I just missed it.

It also seems to me there's zero attempt by Zenimax to filter messages, the RMT don't even have to take trivial steps to obfuscate their domain names, meaning they know there's no filtering.

Any new MMO should have RMT filtering as a core part of the chat system design, as well as flood control, clearly at present this game has neither.

Anyone stupid enough to go to a gold spam site and try to buy gold deserves everything they get. If people weren't stupid enough to buy or try to buy, there would be no market hence the gold sellers wouldn't exist.

I have zero sympathy for anyone getting ripped off/hacked etc by such people

    QFT.
Everyone that sees their spam ingame needs to report them with a screenshot(make sure the chatbox post can be seen) and then ignore them.
I've been surprisingly busy for early access reporting them.
I am not spending a single penny on the game until changes are made to the game that I want to see.
    1) Remove having to be in a guild to sell items to other players at a kiosk.
    2) Cosmetic modding for armor and clothing.
    3) Difficulty slider.
    4) Fully customizable player housing that isn't tied to anything in the game other than having the correct resources and enough gold to build. Don't tie it to PvP, guild membership, or anything at all. Oh, make it instanced so as not to take up world map space, too. Zeni screwed this one up already.
Any /one/ of these things implemented would get me spending again, maybe even subbing.

    That's not what they're saying.

They're saying that these sites are relying on some people being lazy with passwords and hoping that you'd use the same password for their site as your email or ESO account.
