I know it means very little to you (as well to me, I planned to relax after work, and "work never ends"), *but* that's how the things are working. So, if something prohibits us to reach Zenimax servers, you couldn't blame the Zenimax for that (I want a sandwich for this).
You are telling me that Zenimax doesn't know after two hours what's wrong? That's naive to say the very least

I got kicked about 10 mins ago and now can't reconnect to the game server, its like the server isn't there at all.

Again, do you honestly think that a company that handles connections from well over 10,000 people each day just for one company doesn't have 24/7 support and doesn't inform its customers (Zenimax) when something is wrong?

I have seen things you people wouldn't believe.
