Ha ha.. I agree that PvP needs a lot of love to improve combat mechanic and whatnots, but this thread calling PvE trash and boasting that PvPers are keeping ESO alive.. what a joke! Sounds just like most PvPers talking same trash on zone chat against each others/other PvPers. PvE has never been better since Dragon Bone patch (particularly with the influx of activities with this current Jubilee event), and there are plethora of new bloods rolling around in PvE land. I have done my share on PvP and taken 10 different toons in, and if whoever the power that may be separate PvP and PvE in two separate game packages, or if PvP is eliminated altogether, it wouldn't faze ESO much. Just slow your roll and depict the issues we are facing in PvP more constructively. There is no need to bash on PvE, which is the bulk of ESO..

Some new Cyrodiil campaign maps would be nice with different keep and outpost locations, towns, and terrain features. New quests and delves. Lets face it we have been playing with the same old Cyrodiil maps since beta.

PvP is definitely due for an upgrade ZOS and so is a serious look at it's pathetic game performance issues. If you do not care about PvP say so. Make your game completely PvE and us dedicated PvPer's will max exodus to another game that supports PvP with interest.

    * This game is PVE focused not PVP. They just tossed PVP in as an afterthought to get people who are interested in PVP.
    * PVErs out number PVPers greatly.
    * PVErs are the primary source of income in the game. Everything purchasable is tailored to PVErs. ESO+ with increases to bank space/ craft bag/ furniture slots, housing, costumes, skins, mounts, even DLCs. PVPers generally dont care about that sort of thing. A PVEr is more likely than a PVPer to buy all that.
*You got pvp updates. Morrowind, 3 new battlegrounds, and now battlegrounds as part of the base game. All in the last year.

PVErs make up a majority of income for this game... so they are going to focus on things PVERs like. If PVPers made up a majority of income, Summerset would probably be cyrodiil 2.0 and PVErs would get 2 dungeons and a trial out of it.

I dont understand why people people play a mostly pve game to pvp. When i want to pvp, i play a pvp game, not one that tosses it in as after thought. Its like going to a cultural restaurant(Ethiopian, Chinese, Greek, etc) and seeing "Cheeseburger" on the menu and thinking, " Yeah thats going to be an awesome cheeseburger" when its owned and operated by an immigrant family serving authentic food from their homeland.

they should have another PvP update.

    1. A campaign for PvE players to do quests without being ganked - no emp achievement
    2. A campaign for flip flopping faction players, play with your friends - no emp achievement
    3. A campaign for zone pvp players, for the players that think pvp is just talking in chat - no emp achievement
    4. A competitive campaign for loyal players

I LOL'd. I don't understand why people enter Cyrodiil and just sit on zone chat, especially on console (where I play).

Whenever I see this kinda topic I always feel like it’s stupid for both parties involved. I play pvp and would love more content but I play pve too and would also love content. There’s no reason Zos couldn’t release more content to satisfy both desires; instead of filling the crown store with a lot of the worthless stuff they do currently.
    PvP needs more love.

Crown store bought battle mounts! That actually do something, like climb walls, destroy siege weapons, ram doors etc.
That will get the PVP crowd spending, and will add some new spice to Cyrodiil.

And the comment above about opening up IC into Cyrodiil open world would be great.
I'd be up for chasing a flag through the sewers with 3 bosses on my tail :)

Oh, and the delves being as useless as they are currently, should offer a benefit to which ever faction captures them.
Like a small group of npc's that defend the immediate area against the opposition maybe, or provide 'troops' for local tower defence

Make Imperial City relevant as a PVP area again or add something to the map or give us a new map altogether. I mean seriously, Imperial city came out years ago. Pvp'ers are the ones keeping the game alive yet we can't get a friggen update.
Keep pumping out these trash updates and the game will be dead in no time

First populate existing PVP regions. We can talk about PVP garbage later. Who is going to buy a PVP DLC ? Already imperial city is a big failure. Any PVP is not worth for ZOs . It would be a financial disaster.

I'd be very surprised if a third of the regular player base were PVPers, and even more surprised if a third of the player base were willing to leave the game over losing PVP or not receiving any more PVP content beyond what we have.

More like a tenth. You seem to ignore the big casual group never ever setting a foot into cyrodiil. PvP is a meaningless part of the player base. You wouldn't see a difference, if they deactivating it today

Any PVP DLC is not worth for ZOs . It would be a financial disaster. Many imperial city buyers shut off PVP completely and *** any PVP DLC.

If one third plays PVP why PVP regions are empty. ZOs already spending so much for balancing issues & servers for just few PVP population. PVP is already at loss for ZOs.

There are PVP zergs and max CP noobs whose only aim is to steal telvars and zerg low bies. Final 3 words.

Forget PVP DLC. Its not going to happen.

a good PVPer can do any content of PVE. A good PVEer can't do even beginner PVP. I would say quality over quantity.

Dude its other way around. You should be good PVE player to be good PVP player. You have to complete aslyum at veteran level to get best PVP weapons in the game. Who are you fooling ? Only a good PVE player will be good at PVP. Its never other way around.

Many PVP noobs only good at one shoting low bies. They are good at nothing. Complete DLC veteran dungeons solo on hard mode, not by one shotting lowbies. Many are only good at zerging low bies and show off.

Come on complete DLC veteran dungeons solo on hard mode.

yes. All PVP regions are running at POP cap including imperial city. Imperial city is ghost town. Many bought imperial city and shelved it safely. No new player ever comes to PVP. Many coming to PVP just for levelling , skill points & other reasons & not to do PVP.

Many PVP regions are running empty . ZOs is wasting only server resources.

Keep pumping out these trash updates and the game will be dead in no time

I'm a PVPer, so let me tell you how we're keeping the game alive with those PVP updates.

Check out Imperial City! T thriving metropolis of small-scale PVP and gankers, with the occasional zerg of players looking for Tel Var...for four weeks out the year during the anniversary event and Midyear Mayhem. Everytime else, its the home of solo tel var farmers, solo gankers, solo questers and well...its pretty much dead on everything but the most populated campaigns.

Check out Battlegrounds! Its a 4v4v4 small scale PVP battle where you'll never get zerged down! First they were No CP proc-set fests, then they were CP unkillable tank fests, and now they are No CP slightly-less-proc-fests again and none of those options has solved the low population problem. Every game is a Deathmatch, unless you actually focus on those silly objectives. You also have the option to queue as a pre-made group or a solo, duo, or trio. But if you queue randomly, be prepared to see and get crushed by a few of the same pre-mades over and over and over again. Now featuring increased AP for matches because ZOS will do anything to get more players into Battlegrounds. Soon to be included in the base game because ZOS has run out of ideas for how to get more players into Battlegrounds while still getting money out them.

Yeah, boy, its a huge mystery as to why ZOS isn't developing more PVP content for the ravening hordes of PVP players who swarm the content...

Maybe we'd get more PVP updates if Imperial City and Battlegrounds didn't have crippling low population issues.

This makes me sad because of how true it is. I like Cyrodiil and I joined around the Imperial City Anniversary event and even then it wasn't swarming with people but it was still lively. Now it's just deserted and it makes me so sad #foreveralone.
