Yes both provide resources back. It's either stanima or Magicka.

I would agree, I have 2 full healers, one temp and on warden, I have shards on my temp and mystic orbs on my warden, to help with DPS and resources. My temp has energy orbs, in case I actually run a trial. I had energy orbs on my warden but between sanguine altar, combat prayer, Enchanted growth and illustrious healing/Mutegen, that was plenty of healing for the content I was running, need more DPS then just lightning wall and heavy attacks.

Typically in score runs, you won't see Mutagen/RR. And Energy Orbs is a high uptime provider for SPC, so that is why it, ultimately, becomes the preferred morph, even on a Warden.

My tool tip is like 1.5k base, add in crits and such it is an easy ~2k dps. The synergy is based of the player who synergizes it. Literally my Warden only had lightning wall and that was it for damaging attacks. My templar healer has shards, purifying light and radiant Glory besides lightning wall and I was think about swapping out inner light for reflective light, depending on how long the major prophecy was, my temp gets around 15k dps and my warden was only doing 4k dps, with mystic orbs that went up. Oh how I wish there was something use in the animal companion skill line for healers besides netch. Something like growing swarm providing minor magic steal, so I could slot more damaging ablities like my temp.

Pretty sure it does damage to multiple enemies as they float through.

Pretty sure it does damage to multiple enemies as they float through.
When someone synergizes the orbs, the synergy does an AOE burst damage hit, the highest I have had reported by other players, as I cant see the damage as it the damage is attributed and scales with the other player stats regardless of stamina or Magicka though it does use spell Pen, was actually around 30k, though the average is around 20k.
