The best way to maximize use of the anniversary XP buff...

Some weeks ago I just started playing on console. Right now I just have 80CP and I really want to get to 160CP by the end of the anniversary without doing mindless grinding.

So what's the best way to easily reach CP160 without stress? I just thought about going through the zones of the opposite faction I already know and just skip dialogs and do as many quests as I can. Is that the best way to earn XP? Or is there a better way?

You can do the random normal dungeon once a day for the huge amount like was mentioned and then continue to do random normal dungeons. You'll get a nice chunk of xp from doing a random and also xp from the dungeon quest if you haven't done it and also a skill point. Should hit 160 very quickly and you'll have several skill points to boot

If you already have quests pending (and who doesn't?) then check with the USEP wiki, or other sources, to see what gives the most XP gain normally, and go clean up your backlog.

    Xbox or PS?
    NA or EU?

If it’s just for the levels, you might explore dual roles for random normals. You get bonus xp and a reward mail for each one, not only the first. Put on some heavy armor and shield, slot a taunt on one bar, and add tank to the role. Or some light armor with a resto staff, slot some hots, and do randoms while healing. The queue for tank and healer is always short. Once... One time... Only one time ever, I waited 4 whole minutes for a random normal. And that was at 1am on a weeknight.

    DO. NOT. FAKE. IT.
    DO. THE. EFFING. JOB.

You aren’t farming any gear until 160 anyway, so might as well make yourself a better dps group member by having experienced the frustration of other people stealing the boss with their own taunt, and feeling the rage of trying to medic some idiot that stands in the lava while texting “healer blows donkeys lulz”

It is without the xp buff a random normal will give you 4-8 CP for the first run of the day if you have enlightenment at your level. You can just keep grinding dungeons though if you dont think you will make it. 3-4 a day will definitely get you there even without enlightenment.

You would be surprised how far it gets you if you eat the xp cake and an xp potion or scroll. The bonus reward for the daily random dungeon is 100k xp upon completion, not counting all the xp you gain going through the dungeon. You also get an extra 33k xp every time you complete it after the 1st time. Pair this up with daily world bosses and farming zombies and ou will double your cp in no time. You are welcome to come with me if you play Xbox NA...just pm me your gamertag.

Yep. 1000% yep. Add in enlightenment, and that first master writ is ridiculous.

Don't forget first dungeon of the day is per character, so you can do it on multiple ones if you have them.

Also, since the buff lasts 2 hours, you can get an extra 2 hours per character when the event is over.

Although I get your point, I think being at work is the best way to avoid it. At least I can post here in between projects, and get paid to avoid the exp bonus!

Also, random dungeon XP counts per character, so each character's first run of the day gets the max XP.

(Though that's on a timer, so if you run one character in the afternoon one day and in the morning the next, you won't get the full XP for the second run).

Do your three pledges (even on normal), but don't turn them in.

Then do your random daily dungeon, and chug a psijic ambrosia pot right before final boss, then turn in your three pledge quests "under the influence" of the psijic pot. Grind out the rest of your psijic pot's duration at any grind spot (25-30 minutes of grinding).

If you do that every day, you should easily hit 160 before the end of the event. If you have the gold to spare, just keep a psijic up and running during all your dungeoneering, but if gold is tight it's still worth popping one right before finishing your random, buffing 3x quest turn ins, and grinding out the rest.

That's all. There are still 10 days left in the event. That's 10 days of enlightenment, which is 400k XP, so 4M. The bonus 100k XP for a random dungeon gets doubled from the cake buff, plus the XP from killing stuff, and that one dungeon will consume all of your enlightenment. And 4M is easily enough to get to 160.

Well I just made 50 CP by doing the daily dungeon quest on my 4 50s within ~ 1.5 hours. Now I am not refreshed anymore but 160CP sounds very realistic now haha.

One dungeon awarded me 890k XP. That was insane lol.

You can get someone to run you through Skyreach Catacombs as well for a few runs to get you to 160.

If you're on xbox i can give you a few runs, i'm still finishing up some skills on my stamsorc toon.

The journey from 90 to 160 CP is quite a bit longer than 0 to 90.

So you went from 80 to around 130. Excellent. Do the randoms again on all 4 as soon as your "Daily Complete" goes away and you'll likely hit 160.

And then the gear grind begins......

If you have alts you can do one on each.
Else, explore to get skyshards, do delves and public dungeons, dolmens once, run trough them main quests. This give xp but also lots of skill points and you can do mage guild books at the same time so you do things you need to do anyway.
Grinding just make you go in circles.
Asking ZoS for nerfs is as stupid as asking for close air support from the death star.

Drop XP scroll and/or potions, play during enlightenment, and do all dailies as you can. Just play the game for any contents as intended (do dungeons/trials, whatnot), and don't think or just focus on gaining the XP/CP. The XPs and CPs will come naturally as you play the game for entertainment and enjoyment, and it won't be as ridiculous as grinding. Going on three years now in this game with CPs obtained well over max, I don't or have ever grind anything; Skyreach, bears, wolves, mudcrabs, dreughs, whatever. I can't see grinding any of these in a confined area over and over again for hours on end any fun or for entertainment. To each their own, though. Play your game.. Ha ha
