Please fix the personal banker!

I am getting REALLY tired of opening the banker, depositing items, having it wander off to chase butterflies and I end up consuming a motif or pattern on a character that cant use em! PLEASE PLEASE ZOS, make the banker either stand still or bring back the banker window closing when he moves off! You changed this without telling anyone, and its hit a LOT of people!
The opinions of others should always be heard, especially if they dont agree with your own! But you always reserve the right to laugh at them.

Yes. I don't have the consume problem, but the wandering off with the screen still open is driving me nuts.

He is very rude. Typical banker behaviour, though

I love it when I summon him while mounted. I ride up to him since he spawns too far to interact with and he ends up running AWAY from me. It then becomes "Keystone Cops" with me trying to talk to my banker.

They should have made it a stationary summon that disappears shortly after you stop using it. I'm sick of seeing an army of bankers that stop me interacting with things. Between sorc pets and warden bears trying to do things is sometimes a nightmare.

Why is the banker programmed to move away like that to begin with? To make it look more realistic?

I'll admit his pathing is infuriating. FYI if you place him in your homes he stays right where you put him, no interruptions. Depending on the situation, it's often worth porting to a home when you need to do banking that takes a few minutes. Since that's not always convenient, I hope the devs see this and change the banker's behaviour to the protocol already used in player homes.

I think that's what they're going for. Though it's hardly realistic when he jumps on another NPC's head or slams his face into a bookshelf :p

Super annoying when you're sorting through your inventory. I did not expect this rude behavior from a servant that I coughed up big bucks for.

If it would be possible, I'd chain him to a Daedric Throne. :p

I especially like when you run towards the banker who is standing a bit far away. And when you are almost near him, he teleports behind your back like 2-3 meters behind or just runs through you very swiftly.

And the most annoying thing that in cluttered interiors with a lot of stuff around he could just keep teleporting away from you

Agreed. I would love to see ZoS implement an automatic removal of pets and bears when in non-combat buildings, like they do with mounts.

I know people can't put them away on their own easily, but this is because ZoS removed this ability for reasons which still cannot be explained.

I opened a thread about this. Others opened a thread about this. ZOS it seems doesn't give a *** about this.

Not a single reply in any thread I've seen.

This could be resolved by ZOS issuing a lore-consistent equivalent of a baseball bat that we could use to break the banker's knees so he could not run away. I too am tired of inadvertently consuming expensive motifs and other items when he wanders away but the window does not close.

Funny you mention this. Yesterday I opened the bank to look at something then walked away from my pc for five minutes or so and when I got back the window was still there. Had the vague hope they fixed it.

Mine chats up the nearest lady NPC. Gets no play, though.

My only beef other than the time limit is seeing 20 Tythis' in one area. I am in the Matrix and Tythis is really Mr. Smith.

While you’re at it, if you can also give him access to my guild bank, that would be great.

I guess access to the guild store is too much though.....right?

From when the assistants were introduced it's been a feature/ahem bug
The idea is they spawn in and come running up to your summon co-ordinates, but you have moved so it runs to the summon, then re-targets you and runs to where you were again, re-targeting you....

    Example with key:
    B = Banker, S = Player Summoning Position, T = Bankers Target, P = Players Position

    __________P_ < Player summoning Banker/Assistant
_B___P___S_ < Banker/Assistant heading for players ORIGINAL position, Player headed to Banker/Assistant
_P_______B_ < Banker/Assistant has passed the Player and is now re-targeting them from behind the Player
_T__P_B____ < Banker/Assistant still targeting where the player was but the player has opened the interaction window
_B__P______ < Yes the Banker/Assistant wandered off to the previous player location and then comes back

Ideal scenario, summon Assistant and wait for them to get to you
Best case ZOS fixes them to either lag the server constantly pinging you or makes them more static.

But based on the Non Combat pets spawning in facing backwards I wouldn't hold my breath for a fix, but at least you know why the Assistants, especially the Banker are idiots and keep running past you.

Hope this helps make sense of it all...

    Oh and regarding:

There were a couple of possible reasons given at the time...
    1. They would make the areas near the actual bankers become deserted
    2. They could release a Premium Assistant* or an Advanced Banker
*Datamined so feel free to search the multiple threads and posts about why Premium Assistants are/were a bad idea

Had this happen to me today. Accidentally used a Worn Cult Dagger motif on a lv25 toon when I meant ot deposit it in the bank via my banker for my main crafter to use. I'm still groaning about it, especially when I saw what some guildies were trying to shake people down for that page.

In my banker's defense though I was very tired from many hours of grinding dailies on multiple toons and it may have been , very likely, user error, at least in some part. I immediately logged off and took a nap.

PC-NA since 2015. Tired and unimpressed.

Aahhh, yes, Tythis. He either stonewalls me, refusing to interact, or he runs away like I’m “it” and I didn’t realize we were playing.

It’s not the wandering that annoys the most, it’s the way you get the same two quest comments a billion times, if I hear the line about the coral heart or ‘how dare the veriansu’ once more I may have to use this great axe on something other than daedra :/

Someone on here mentioned that they made them non-stationary because people were abusing it to avoid being auto-logged-out? Is that true?
